yeah the Manufactures state what there cars are at the crank not at the wheels. Sometimes it may even seem false on what power their cars actually make just to sell their cars. For instance a couple of car lovers tested the new miata and actually compare the drivetrain loss of what mazda clame of 178 bhp and found out it might not make that actual power. Another though like the Skyline claims 280 bhp but actually make more like 320 bhp which is more of a benifit if you think about it.

When it comes down to it..Whp means much much more than Bhp.You can have all the power you want but if you aint putting that much to the ground you aint ----. :P Cars that suffer from that are the Supra, 300ZX, and 3000gt.

Typical Honda/Acura drivetrain loss is 17%

oh and if anyone wanted to know, BHP means brake horsepower, basically meaning (at the crank)
