Whos Watching the Superbowl... ? Take a vote..

Well, I watch it every year just because. The commericals are pretty good. Looks like 3.3 million for 30 seconds of air time during the game.

Already seen a few ford commericals... :-\

hope you like the design of the rear end cause thats all you'll see

Magnum R/T $29,370+ $625 Dodge Magnum RT provides unmatched performance with the 340 horsepower, 390 foot-pound HEMI V-8 engine mated to a five-speed automatic transmission with AutoStick®. 18-inch polished aluminum wheels, dual exhaust, large performance disc brakes, fog lamps, exterior chrome accents, leather seats, and Boston Acoustic six-speaker 288-watt digital amplifier. 3,800 pound towing capability when properly equipped.

5.7 V8 340 @ 5,000 rpm 390 lb-ft @ 4,000 rpm 6.3 17/23

The Magnum and 300C will be the first modern production vehicles in North America to feature cylinder deactivation. The Multi Displacement System (MDS) seamlessly turns off the fuel consumption in four cylinders of the 5.7-liter HEMI engine when V-8 power is not needed. This provides a world class combination of performance and fuel economy.

Dodge is not my favorite, but they're doing a lot better these days.

Performance and fresh styling seem to be important to their designers.

The Magnum looks sinister....I like it.

I'll take a Charger, Super bird, Challenger, or a Dart with a six pack 340 anyday over a Honda. I love my Honda's, but you can't campare a classic muscle car to a dime a dozen Honda. :-\ I don't think I would take any modern Mopar product over a Honda though.

I read about that doge about a year ago but they took away the best part. It used to have a supercharged version of that engine that put out over 500 hp and torque.

The slogan they used was for the guy who wants to drop his kids off at school and lay a patch all the way home. I was really impressed but disappointed when I found out it was not going to be available with the charger :(

Oh and Jeff, my sunfire has a hemi as well ;)

Ok, I take that back. I'll take the Viper and MAYBE the SRT4 over a Honda, but not the others. I'm not a big fan of Dodges truck/SUV line.

I must be crazy to take a car that wont brake the bank. yeah..... I would take a Honda ANY day over those POS's. I don’t care HOW much HP they put out. I care for the environment that my son has to deal with and I want to buy responsibly. Buying ANY v8 without proper emotions control is crazy. ---- Dodge. Ford, and Chevy for the SUV craze and stupid V10 bullshit. If Honda can make 100 HP per Liter why the hell ant americans? i would LOVE to see a V8 put out 570 HP but that will NEVER happen.

normal everyday people do not want to drive around in a car that has to rev to 8k to flow with traffic. its a fact of life. torque = driving pleasure.

the 100hp/l arguement is ricer-ish

Re:Whos Watching the Superbowl... ? Take a vote..

everytime I'm on the streets, a domestic car is holding up traffic, rent them they suck at take off, and maxed out at 100mph, I will take the most expensive dodge out that list and sell it and buy a honda, imports no matter what country are better than domestics. and dont even bring those muscle cars in the mix, cause they are in a different class. s2000 bettter than a srt4. wrx better than sr4 . evo better than srt4. eclipese better than srt4. 1.5l turbo honda better than 2.4l turbo srt4 get the point and also domestic cars are uncomfortable with stupid designs, good supporting our country, but others have different ways being a patriot than buying a POS car..... ;D

J-SMITH69 02-02-2004 01:44 AM

Re:Whos Watching the Superbowl... ? Take a vote..

ricers :(

srt4 is 19k

evo is 30k
sti is 30k
s2000 is 30k and will get beat in a straight line by a srt4

turbo eclipses are about 1 1/2 seconds slower than a srt4 and cost more.

the new v6 GT eclipses are about 26k and are slow as balls

1.5l turbo honda is gunna have a hard time making 230hp, and will not make 250ft-lbs of torque

srt4 is a lot faster than a wrx and costs about 5k less.

Re:Whos Watching the Superbowl... ? Take a vote..

I haven't seen the arguement of price yet, which is more of a concern to me than anything. I'd rather own a $2000 crx with $3000 worth of motor and turbo than a srt4 and pay for it until I'm 90. Plus, being car people, what are you gonna do to the SRT4? Nothing. My crx has plenty of things to do to it, and at the end I'll be ripping some ass for about $5000. That's where I come from. ;)
