boosted at 15 -16 now 21 vw bug first turbo was one that did not spool HT-18 for a 2nd gen mazda rx7 had just oil lines and not real charge pipe..
nes was a ihi rhb5 boositn the stock carb no real boost once boost hit it would run out of gas and detonate stock fuel pump pumps 2.5psi fuel pressure
FIRST REAL BOOST i discovered HMT back in 05 and strapped a ih rhb5 to hf manifold with a stick welder and had intercooler home depot couplers water injection into the turbo inlet!
them blew head gasket insalled one stock injector into the charge pipe with jb weld and had a pressure swith activate it boost was good for few weeks blew head gasekt
build a real kit later mi ram mani e Gay t3 45trim turbo genuin DELTA GATE 35mm standalone injector controller running 2 stock injector in the charge pipe and a afc hack running 450cc injectors LOL 2 managments i dont know waht i was doing its funny looking back wg sping was gay only gave me 4 psi but i was 17 years old and shure it was fast it felt like

e gay turbo t3t4 manifold (cast) chin chong wg side mount intercooler ABS charge pipes 450cc injectors obd2>1 converter chipped p 28 Egay chip with spec 450cc +gm 3 bar map sensor so i bought all that ---- and ran it was fast (12 psi) so i though that was too much cut the spring and then put on ex vtec head on it and ran 6 psi stock exhaust was slow on spool in 1st gear but was fast on the freeway
ate lost of gas 16mpg city 26 hwy driving normal
so i being a ignorant trussting my narrowband o2 and ricer a/f guage got a e gay regulator and tuned the fuel pressure down..
melted a piston doing a 4th gear freeway pull 130 mph or so..
then i knew how to harness the boosts after i build a vitara but still missed out on using arp studs that bit me in the *** later

21 years old and the first time i felt boost was when i was 16or 17 been awhile. friends dad had bought a mini cooper s. thing moved for being supercharged.
i used to be into building n/a hondas for example a had a 91 hatch fully gutted with a sohc zc (d16a6), with itb's. i used the right up on here to do mine. Bad *** right up btw.
i was 16 and i thought this car was the fasted thing out there. well after running 14's with nitrous. lame i know. i decided on the whole turbo thing.
well after 2 turbo builds and years of learning on HMT. i can say i'm hooked and thats about it.
