Actually shrooms are "dirtier" in every respect.

-They're grown from hay/rice/soil/manure....... acid is synthesized so its pure.

-Large doses of mushrooms give brain damage.....acid doesn't destroy brain cells in even MASSSIVE doses (500+ hits)

-6 of the 8 psychoactive chemicals in psilocybe mushrooms are extremely toxic (even a half eighth of shrooms is about as bad for your liver as a night of binge drinking)

....acid is only 1 psychoactive chemical, and it so happens that it's non-toxic.

I dunno man, I'd hate to see how fucked up someone would be after a sheet of acid. You can't tell me that wouldn't cause some permanent damage?

I don't think the dosage really matters actually, I've taken 2 hits and I've taken 10...and I was in at the same place, it just lasted a hell of a lot longer....once you pass a certain point, more is just going to lenghthen the experience.

It depends on the person and their psyche. The damage is done because of the intensity of the experience, not physically like with most drugs.

For example, you can go to war and not have a scratch on you when you come back, yet you can be psychologically damaged...I believe it's the same way with acid.

It takes a very mentally strong person to be able to drop a lot of acid and not be a bit weird afterward....

I've done pretty much every hallucinogen known to man except bufotenine and ibogaine, and I'm a weirdo, but I was way weird before-hand.

I'm still leading a normal life though, gettin a degree in Computer Science from SOU, minor in journalism and minor in biology....

Hmmm...I guess I've never really pushed my limits, but I can remember a few times of just ripping a corner off a non-perforated sheet of acid and eating it like it was nothing and getting pretty ------- tore up. Come to find out I ate a good 15-20% of a 100 hit sheet. Oh well, I had my fun. I might do it again at some time in my life, but not on any sort of regular basis. I remember doing it one day and wanting to do it the next day so you double and triple what you ate the day before because it wouldn't ---- you up otherwise. Wow that must have done some damage to my brain to my brain to my brain to my brain to my brain to my brain to my brain to my brain but I'm fine.

Personally, i'd never eat acid off sheets..you have no idea how old that is and how strong the doses are.

1 drop on my tongue would usually send me to another world for at least 6 hours...so when I wanted a slight grip on reality I would drop it on a Necco candy and break it in half so I had 1/2 a hit.

The first time I tried that vial I did 2 hits and it was NOT fun. I died about 3 times during that night, had weird out of body experiences, time would be going forward, then backward to replay itself, and when I finally came down I thought I had been tripping for weeks...but it had only been about 8 hours.

Its kinda frightening suddenly coming to and not knowing where you are or what week it is....like being reborn or something

lol, you can always tell when someone has actually done it because they know EXACTLY what happens when you take too much. I've never taken liquid so I think I saved myself from some evil trips. I've taken so much mushrooms that I thought I died. I remember my buddy couldn't finsih his share so I ate the rest of his. He ended up throwing up from eating so much and I just tripped my ------- *** off. I remember not being able to move my body, but hearing everything that was going on and I remember not needing oxygen to live. That was ------- scary. I was totally thinking about what my family is going to do now that I was dead and how they were going to react. Wow, good times....good times. :P

lol yeah I did that once on acid too....

I was laying there, forgot that I even existed, and suddenly I came to and remembered that I had to breathe...and couldn't remember how long I had been holding my breath for...that was a fucked up night.....I thought the people in the TV were talking to me...scolding me about life and how the mindstate that acid brings you in is not for humans....

and my friends said I was talking to my dad, asking him if I could use the bathroom?...my dad was hundreds of miles away at the time.. bleh...I hate trips that make no sense whatsoever......LSD really freaked me out....I don't think I'll ever do it again....there's nothing left to find out. All it does is turn the world upside down for 8 hours, I always thought there would be a way to control the trip...but you can only control it so much.....
