Re: who here is a homeowner?

Bought my first home 3 years ago.

In the first year I got it appraised and it already went up by 30,000 :o

Im thinking of refinancing this year and taking out a home equity loan to do some home improvements and some on the side.

This is one investment you cant loose.

Re: who here is a homeowner?

My mom bought a pretty big house in Chino hills, Ca. about 10 years ago. It was big, but it was a track house (all the houses looked the same) and they were smashed together like burrito boxes. She bought it for 250k, and sold it about 3 years ago for over 500k.

I will never ever pay 500k for a track house that's 5 feet from my neighbors. :-\

im trying to get 190k dollars cash to just go buy a house. i realy dont want to deal with morgage payments so ive been trading and ----. i think it will work out in a few years. 190k is a pretty decent sized house for me going to be like 23 when i have it payed off and no kids or anything.

Re: who here is a homeowner?

buying a house is one of the wisest investments you can make. i'm moving into #3 in mid may. my first house i made $20k on it (2 years), the house i'm moving out of now i'm making $50k(3 years), the house i'm moving into i can make $60k if i turn around and sold it right after i move in. it is all about opportunity and timing.

congrats! ;)

Prices are going up pretty quick here (North Georgia). I inherited 75 acres about 2 or 3 years ago. It was really just woods and open fields and we sold it for $190,000 about 3 months ago. We just bought a house in Dalton that only booked for $95,000 5 years ago and we payed $125,000. Its nice. 2200 square feet. 4 bedroom 3 bath attached garage. 10 acres with a 1500 square foot shop. And im only 23 :P
