that crx is quick, i saw it on mtv.
that true life: i'm a street racer was kinda cool. lots of san diego footage, you can see my friends running from the cops in parts of it.
anyway it's not worth $9500

edit: oh and if you guys saw that true life, he's the one that got busted by his parole officer for driving without a licence.
for some reason his parole officer was watching mtv.

A little history...

Greg Leone did the HT article for the HF manifold-based turbo system well after Greg and Randy, and Jeff Frank had well documented several HMT type builds. Greg wrote the article as if he had received a vision from God on how to use the HF manifold with an adapter plate. This illustrated that either he was way out of touch with the Honda community, or just simply unwilling to give proper credit for the ideas he was using, neither choice is desirable for somone who is supposed to be writing for HT. That said, even though he claims to have written a four part series, I remember only two installmements. I remember having a keen interest in the articles, because we were just starting to offer some HF based products at that time. I also remember being really disappointed in the technical merit of the articles. I remember him telling the reader that they could drive the newly boosted untuned car to their tuner, with no mention of increasing fuel beforehand.

He also did a rear wheel drive fully caged civic article series for HT, that never got past the first installment.

I talked to the guy once on the phone, and he rambled incoherently about random ish, and could not stay focused. I gave up after a bit, and just said goodbye.

He has done a good job at selling himself to the media as a deep insider in the street racing scene. Other than that, I'm not seeing a lot of justification for the high price on the CRX.

$9500 for smoking crx +$700 for the good motor = $10200 :'(

I have the 3 issues that showcased that homemade build...and it was on a z6 for the magazine and a puny 2nd gen eclipse t-25 that they had maxed out at 17psi for a whopping 211hp. ::) The guy was a complete tool from what I remember, and he also started some project with an ED hatch that was supposed to be mid-engine with NSX front independent suspension and complete NSX engine swap. I think that's the one that never made it past the first article.

he did help bring interest to the import scene,even if he though he looked like an ass on the mtv special.streets of ledgend sucked btw.if anyone is thinking about buying it,ill save you 90mins of your life.it was the worst independent film ever.
