Whats Your Style of Junkyard Part Picking??
Ok, So whats your style of part picking at your "local u-pull", "pick your part ect"
Especially when your looking for, and taking out turbo's.
Do you....
1. " Walk around the yard, find something nice, pull out ur shiny tools and spend a few minutes carefully pulling the part out in a organized and tidy form (in and out of the yard in less than an hour)"
2. "Walk around the yard, find something nice, pull out ur tools, and start pulling the turbo, only to find that its bolts are kinda seized, start cursing a bit, but eventually manage to pull it out 2 hours later..."
3. "Walk around the yard, find something ------- sweet, rip out ur tools, start hacking at anything in your way, then find out that in order to get the turbo, you must pull the head of first. You immediatly say "----" but continue on and 4 hours later, you come out of the yard with your knuckles scrapped up and bloody, and you covered in oil, mud, and ----, but with your trophy"
4. " Walk around the yard, find something ------- auwsome, rip out ur tools, which include a 10 pound sledge, portable sawzall, angle grinder, and RAGE. You look at the car, the turbo is all the way wedged behind the engine beside the firewall in some unbelievable spot that no one could ever reach. You have a buddy with you, and his car's stereo just got jacked the previous day, and you found out your girlfriend cheated on you the previous day also. You two are two young men filled with a primordial anger and rage that could snap with the tinyest misshap, you would and could destroy anything at a momements notice. You start by ripping out anything and every hose, cable, engine part that connects to the turbo. Your buddy scrapes his arm a stray peice of metal, and starts cursing so load, the junkyard attendant goes out into the yard to see whats going on. You continue on, and find out the head needs to be pulled. You start breaking free the head studs, and when your on the last one, the bolts head snaps off...theres no way your going to get the head off. You instictivly start screeming, and pull out the 10 pound sledge and start bashing the head of the engine....broken valve train parts are flying in the air off the ying yang. Your and your buddy converse and now think you have to pull the whole engine out. You two proceed to find a engine hoist that the yard supplys, its all the way across the yard. When you two get back, you find some mother ****** working on the engine of the car that YOU were working on. You tell him that you got their first. He doesn't believe you, but then he notices the RAGE in both of your eyes, and also the 10 pound sledge in your hand... he backs off. You and your buddy procees to take the engine out. You find out the engine mount bolts are seized to hell...more cursing and bashing. You then find out that the axels are seized to hell. More cursing and bashing. You two then pull out the sawzall chop the ----------ing engine mounts off, and use the 10 pound sledge to bash the axels out. You then proceed to pull out the engine, in the process you drop the engine and nearly miss crushing your arm and your buddies leg. Now that the engine, is on the ground in front of you, looking smashed beyond belief, you proceed to take the turbo off, the bolts are seized. Moments later the yard owner calls out over the speakers that the yard will be closing in 5 mins. You and your buddy have been in the yard for 7 hours and are covered in oil, mud, ----, and have so many cuts and bruses that it lookes like you were in a steet brawl. Both of you lose it for a few minutes, and start bashing the ---- out of the car, cars around you, and the engine you pulled out. You calm down and try one last time to pull of the seized bolts on the turbo.....THEY COME OFF!!! and the turbo plops to the ground with a satisfing thud. You and your buddy look at each other, and start yelling "HA TAKE THAT MOTHER ******", and bash the car some more. The car originally only had some minor rear-end damage, but now looks like it had been in 150mph roll over that collided with a semi. You and your buddy leave the yard with a $39.99 turbo. In the following weeks you have a HMT turbo setup, and can make the ladies bra's fly off anytime that sexy turbo spools up"

i like to snipe, i thrrow ---- over the fence and come back for it at night
so ill take turbos radiators and all orts of high price ---- and buy a set of used plug wires off a saab and then collect the booty later

my tool list:
-socket set
-combination wrench set
-2"x36" galvanized pipe
-5lb sledge (fits in tool bag)
-16oz hammer
-chissle set
-big ------ knife
I use #4 but need no motivation to beat the ---- out of the car. I also never take long to get parts pulled, turbos take about an hour for DSMs and probes.

and the guy wanted 200 bucks for it....oh my god :P You ppl in the US have it so good

Definatly a number and 3 and 4, i hardly ever get a 2 and a number 1 you've got to be shitting me is that possible? It tooke me a ------ half to get an engine bay wiring harness. I forgot to bring a philip screw driver so that positive wire that goes to the fuse box i just couldn't get the screw to turn whatever i did. I finally notice a thick metal fence pipe about 3' 1/2" long and swang at that ----------in fuse box. Turned out great should've seen that ----------er fly and chunks exploding everywhere. What a great but stressful time!

watch out with the coming back at night guys...yards by me are cracking down...some friends of mine got chased out doing 140 with the lights off...only to get charged the next day because they somehow got his plates

I usually just wander aimlessly until I can't walk anymore and pass out in the hot sun on top of a rusted out ford, then I have a dream that I found everything I ever needed in 10 minutes and got some random hot chick to do all the parts pulling and then carries me back to the junkyard entrance... I'm usually woken up by a sharp pain from where the vultures have started to eat my legs...
