Whats so special about HMT.
Thought it would be nice if people came up with reasons why they think HMT is special / diffirent from any other forum out there.
While the site was down. Went looking to hang and talk Turbos on some forums.
Was on HMT for a few months before it went down never had any problems.
Joined a few forums and in under 24 hours was geting abused and made fun off.
It would seem on the other turbo forums. Your welcome is based on how much money you have to spend. Talking big bills and fancy parts everybody is super nice to you. Talk about doing your own thing and your treated like ----.
There are allways the guys trying to sell you something if you dont buy it. Your stupid.
WHere as here. Your just made to feel welcome no matter what your budget is.
Nobody is constantlly trying to sell you something.
And all the guys are super suportive and helpfull.
Nobody is standing there waiting to jump you and nit pick every little post you make.
On one forum there was a scrap cause a guy was having temp problems and I told him he could sort it by changing his radiator and adding an extra core. Guy who sells oil cooler kits or some crap jumps me. Saying extra core wont help. We know it works cause we have data and tests done. Another forum guy asks about engine life and turbos. And all the special parts he can put in to run 10 PSI. I simplly mention that one should consider lower boost if engine life is critical and Im told Im talking bullshit and am aragont prat when I back up the arguement with a quote from Corky Bells book.
ANyway I missed you guys sob sob sob.
Good to be back and amongst friends again.
To me HMT is special cause it respects the complete DIY spirit and you are not judged on how much money you have to spend.
