the problem with a non stialness manifold is that it just wont last. IF it were coated with something like the Swain TBC which is a 3 step process you might be able to get it to last a year or so. Maybe. by then with the coatings to make mild steel survive your into and almost = cost and a product thats more prone to coating.

Most people arent aware of the fact that when steel stay hot that the carbon in the steel leache out to the surface and create cracks. It called carbon leeching and its a huge problem on mild steel manifolds.

The reason you wnt 304L or even 321 or 316L is becuase those are very low carbon steels. They wont have leeching and will take much longer to crack.

If there is someone in the detriot,Michigan area intersested in getting a protoype made for a slightly lower cost get ahold of me via email and we can talk.

Also what turbos would you want to be on these manifolds ?? is another question ?

Sure we can do a low cost log and if thats what you really want ill talk to the Fab guy but he usually wont go for stuff like that.

Ok well i tlaked to the FAb guy. The first guy with a D series to repons to this thats somewhere in the detriot area will get a stianless header Really cheap for being the guinea pig.

Secondly we redid ome of the estimates and we think we can do the same 4-1 turbo header for $400. Dont ask me how i dont price this stuff out.

If you wanted a log we could whip uyp a stianless log for around $300.

We will have to wait to see the beta car to go any further. So who is gonna stepup.
