Exact same engine. Just says Ford.

I dont remember Exp's having an intercooler.

What about the Mustang and Thunderbird 4cyl Turbo engine. 2.3L with a decent sized turbo.

Intercooled or not? I don't know...

if its the motor im thinking of, it came from a 1989-1992 Ford GT probe, its a 12 valve sohc 2.2L turbo

my buddy is finding one to swap into his mazda so i did some research on them for him a couple weeks back

Probe is a mazda engine. 2.3 is not 3 valves per cyl. That leaves the exp which is not the same as anything else mentioned, but it does have same bolt pattern as 1.9 and 2.3

didnt say it wasnt a mazda engine, i just said he was swapping it into a mazda, he wants something turbo for his 323

yeah that motor sucks.......if your looking to use the turbo off of it, dont waste your time. Its to small and very inefficient (sp).
