what tires you running

Re: what tires you running
I've got new azenis in front, and the old style in the rear. I am pretty sure Discount is out of the old ones, because about 3 months ago, when they ruined one of my Older Azenis, they couldn't get a replacement one, so they had to replace two with the newer style. I like the look of the old ones, but the new ones are better in the rain, aren't as wide overall, and don't have as stiff of a sidewall. I like them quite a bit, and will probably keep running them. I have had them on all winter in Washington weather and haven't had a problem yet.

they arent wide enough to PROPERLY run more than a 195 tire, and if i get ZERO traction w/ a stock LS then you are going to need a wider tire with just about any setup

I've ran Kumho's (or KumCraps as I call them) and no The New Azenis and I will say this " I NEVER WANT ANOTHER TIRE" I love them, best bang for buck hands down. Read almost any magazine also and they say the same!
Look means nothing! The overall design and Compound of the new tire is WAY better. Chris, the only problem is the ya a 205 Azenis is like a 215 any other brand tire. Unless you have a Huge Rim Offset, you can't drop the car low at all.

205/45/16 fuzion zri's. no complaints here, about 70 a pop at the px. but once you get through two layers of steel in them they won't grip to sandpaper. with tread they grip pretty damn good. so yeah, someone else has to be running these tires, but nobody has said ---- about them.

Re: what tires you running
I run 205/60/13's.
---- running a "properly" sized tire. When these bitches had good tread on them they gripped like no tomorrow. I've also used Cumhoe 712's 205/40/16 and busted a few 2.3 and I think a high 2.2 60' time with the cumhoes. I didn't like the kumho tires as much as I do my steelies so I got rid of them.
I'm looking into 15" wheels now, but I'm pretty much dead set on Proxes 4. I need something with better treadwear than Azenis.

195/60/14 Falken Azenis 215 [old ones] and they are by far the best tire I have ever owned.I just need to hunt down a couple more of the old style ones as there are some left if you call around. They are alright at the strip but I they really shine on autocross days or tearing apart some mountain roads
