What are some cheap, but reliable cars?

My wife has a 92 Honda Si hatchback. Anyway she doesnt like it. She wants a auto non-sports car. Whats a good car besides honda that has cheap, but its a reliable car? I dont car if it looks ugly. I have about 2.5k to spend. Thanks for your time. please state maker/model/years like Honda/Civic/92-95 thanks.

Toyota Corolla is very reliable, same with the Camry.
Get an early 90s model, they look like ass but they're built to last.

some of those early saturns are cheap and slow, my friend at school has one with super high miles and he beats the ---- out of it. its still goin.

or a volkswagon fox.. my friend had one with 250k on it and it was still goin.

a honda civic isn't a sports car ;D. ---- mine has 385,000 miles :o on the orignial engine and its a 96. just find her a civic or toyota with a auto iam sure u can find someone that will trade ur stick Si for a auto. i will never own an auto again they cant even last aslong as the engine.

I was told to stay away from there DOHC motors because the drink oil like gas.

95 SL1 is a good car. I guess I need to get that book that tells if cars are lemons.

Buy a Peugeot 205, with a 1.1 or 1.4, cheap and reliable. But i doubt you will be able to find one over there :P
