The police will need to talk to your parents b/c they are the registered owners. Tickets can be assesed to the registered owner of the vehicle if the identity of the driver cannot be acertained. The police, most likely, shouldn't even talk to you about the matter b/c it has nothing to do with you as far as they know.

Re: ----, what are my options
Something similar actually happened to me once.
I was skating at the Nike world campus (really tight security, but great place to skate). Anyways, so they called the cops and we took off, the security chased us but we made it to my car in just enough time to start it up and speed off. When I got home the phone rang (house phone) and it was the police asking if someone at the residence owned a grey 1988 Honda Civic, because it had been seen running from the police etc. (I guess they got my plate).
I told them that we don't own a car like that so he asked to speak to my dad, I told him my dad wasn't there. The cop told me he was going to call back later on that evening but he never did.
Nothing ever became of it, I don't know what they would have been able to charge me with.
Anyways, just ignore their phone calls and maybe they won't call back.
