Default Fucken ---- ----! >:( Setbacks and more setbacks**venting out**

Well I finally decided to use the hone tool Stealth borrowed me like 2 weeks ago and haven't touched my engine cause it's too damn hot to mess around in my garage. Well I honed the walls and they came out perfect for my first time. Sprayed a good amount of WD40 and went to town. Walls had nice cross hatches. So I go to put my first piston in and it went in smoothly and then when I pushed it down further to connect onto the crank I noticed a nice scratch that I could feel with my finger. WTF!!! So I pulled it back out, honed it again and got rid of it pretty good. Checked out the piston and rings for any damage or anything sticking out that would of cause it, but it was fine. Go to put it back in and it does it again. ---- it! I'll mess with that one later. The next two go in fine without a hitch. Go to put my last piston in ring compressor wasn't seated all the way down ontop of the deck of the block and the lower oil control ring popped out and got all bent up!! Jesus H. Christ!!! Now I probably get to hear that I have to buy a whole new set of rings to just replace that one that I fucked and set me back again. Sorry Steve if you read this. I was planning on getting these in and get your hone tool back to you tomorrow in the mail. Let me know if you need this back soon cause I'll have to buy a new set of rings more likely and redo that first cylinder wall again and see whats causing that.
I could of started putting my engine back together again. God damn ----------ing setbacks and people not sending their ---- out that I paid and sent my ---- to over a month ago are ------- me over on finish my engine. I won' say names*cough*Blake*cough* and some ****** on HT for my shift linkage that I paid for on the 30th of June. Atleast I got my GSR tranny from him so I don't feel so ****** over. but still. Once I get this engine together I'm taking a rest from buying ---- for my two civics. These things are eatting up all my money. Yeah I know your all saying shutup and join the crowd but damn makes me just wanna sell all my b-series and turbo ---- I bought for my LS and sell my 4dr and just buy a pickup and only have my hatch to worry about. My setup consist of this so far
-LS longblock(got for 150 from my local pick and pull)
-Blox Intake manifold $200(new)
-8lbs Ascco AL flywheel $160(new)
-ACT unsprung 6 puck $100(new)
-GSR hydro tranny $500
-gsr axles $120(new)
-GSR mounts and int shaft and linkage $150(used)
-Bar plate FMIC 30x9x3 $250(new)
-Eagle rods w/SRP pistons $240(used)
-rods bearing and rings$75(new)
-MLS headgasket$30 (new)
-ARP headstuds$75(new)
-Profab Intake manifold gasket
-material/flanges to build TT manifold$150 (new)
-two DSM T25's $40(dont ask rebuild kit for one $30(HMT)
grand total so far of $2300 and I'm still not finish
and the list goes on everytime I get alil further with the build....
all of this surprisingly has been purchased with parts I sold on HMT and ebay. Thanks everyone who bought ---- from since you all helped me with my setup. If you look through my vouche thread you'll see that I've sold to quite abit of people recently and have nothing but good ---- to say about me. Knock on wood that I get my rings and fix that first cylinder and from there nothing else goes wrong cause honestly I can't afford this anymuch longer and my junkyard isn't running out of good ---- to sell to fund my project.
Well sorry about the novel length venting and no current pics right now since my camera was sent back to Canon to get fixed but I have some old pics of the stuff I've gotten so far. Save the comments for the TT setup cause I've heard enough and just want to try it for myself and see what it's like. I even heard it straight from the horses mouth(Jeff, and Whitey) that it's not worth it and just go with a big ol fatty as Jeff put it. :P Somethings just have to be tried out so I wanna see what it's like and if it's not good then I can see that I did it and then just go back to a single snail.

If I needed that thing anytime soon, I wouldn't have sent it. :P Take your time.


I had that kind of a problem with Cray's motor. The second ring wasn't compressed all the way and when I put it in I scratched the ---- out of the cylinder wall and cracked the ring. I took a second ring off one of my melted srp's and handled that bitch after re-honing the scratch out. Do it to it.

That put a nice scratch down the cylinder. Gotta love punkn' ---- off of old cars. Still perfect compression, so no worries.
