I'm talking about one like HKS-EZ type. The kind with two dials for the setting and no LCD.

Basically, i'm wonder what is the max you would expect someone to pay.

depends, really. I remember on team-integra some guy was selling one that he made, and that ---- would randomly fail. If it's an off brand, id pay about 200-300 for one after some other people tested that ---- out and made sure it works fine.

I should contact him to see what failed, I dont expect to have it for sale until next year, but I just placed the second order for parts today. I should have one in for my testing car by next friday I hope. I was actually figuring to be around 100-150 range for the full basic kit, depends on the market really. I hope to have a model for GM turbo cars less than 100 dollars since they already have all the external equipment installed.

I would say in the 1-150 range as you mentioned. The way I see it, you should base your pricing compared to a popular one, like say a Profec (which can be had ~300). Knock a third off of the price b/c of the brand name, and then knock some off for less features (scramble mode, LCD, boost gauge, etc). Or, you can figure out how much it costs you to make one, and then multiply that by a certain percentage. For example, at my parents restaurant, they figure out how much something costs to make (materials, not time), and then add 80% to it to cover salaries, prep time, fuel, rent, etc.

If you want a knock sensor activated boost controller rip the APC out of an old Saab, nifty units. I don't like relying on a knock sensor for anything at all though so I stay clear of that stuff.
