what is everyone playing nowadays?
 

so ive been seeing a couple threads about games lately and i havent really been playing anything recently since the great depression at my house. but now i got some money and a ps2 and xbox so i wanna know whats some good games to get. pretty much the only thing i play any more is guitar hero 2 and KOTOR on xbox. hopefully i can get some internet hooked up so i can play with some hmt members.

I've almost exclusively been playing a game called Live for Speed. It's a really cool racing sim. It's only got a few cars (like 15 or 16), but they're all fully tune-able (except for adding power). I bought a Momo FORCE racing wheel and I can't stop playing. Graphics aren't great and there's some collision detection problems, but it's still an Alpha. Plenty of awesome user-made games to choose from, be it racing, drag, drift, or fun.

also, wolfenstein: enemy territory, and the mod for the mod, true combate elite.

stalker by far owns every fps game out there, nothing beats post-chernobyl in 2010 flavor, few new weapons but all within current technological reach. ------ mutated boars, pseudo dogs that are radiation immune, ------ stick legged ball things, bandits, and many kickass other things. the gameplay is 100% non-script, whatever you do impacts you later on in the game

i use to play that game for months back in the day.....ii swear i'd get home from work an boot up my pc an drift for hours on that bitch....joined some clan an we did team drifting an shyt but then everyone stoped playin

I downloaded and started playing, pretty fun. I love how the steering got fubar'd after 120 into a wall ;D

Yes, suspension damage is awesomely modeled in that game. The fact that you can monitor in real time, your tire heat across the tire and in multiple points around the tire, is also pretty cool... Use the e-brake to flat-spot the tire, then watch the heat go nuts as you drive around =P.

You guys have S2 licenses? We need to get an HMT crew going in there.

i ------- love forza but i lent it to one of my friends (who happens to be half black half mexican, i know..... dumbass) and he never returned it and now its gone for good cuz he cant find it. wish i had a 360 so i could get some forza 2 going but i dont have that kinda money just yet. but other than that and guitar hero and knights of the old republic i cant find a game i can seriously get into. and i have a lot of free time on my hands so i need a new one.

Heres some real advice rotary niglet. Get your ps2 or 360 chipped and download your games. Then basically sample EVERYTHING out there. I recently build my current computer im on for 800 bucks and it plays ANYTHING thats out there. Like complex said "S.T.A.L.K.E.R" is the ----.. As much as I ------- love pc games, nothing beats console gaming for the precision of the controller. Im waiting for the ps3 to get pwned so I can d/l games and play without burning blueray disks.

oh i must have mis-read, just got home from work eyes are starting to shut, as well as the body shut down too.

on the bright side, i can sit and play halo 3 until i pass out, or jump on gears of war and just go balls to the wall with it, or rock out on guitar hero 2 on the 360.... or better yet search HMT, and porn till i pass out >:D

i can sport a ps2 controller at any time via usb, it just needs more buttons like a pc keyboard

I've been playing Mike Tyson's punchout on a top loader nes that has been converted to rca's. I'm getting past super macho man with out any trouble. But that nog at the end whoops my ass on a regular basis...

Warcraft3... about all my laptop will play. I'd like to build another desktop though. The last one I built was an AXP 1600+ oced to 1.6ghz with Radeon 9500 softmodded to 9700 specs. The PSU blew up and I just never replaced it. It now sits in my grandma's basement.

I have the PS2 controller for the PC. I prefer to use the digital controls on the ps2 controller. I can program the buttons on the control but you cant change how theres only one degree of motion. Meaning on "DIRT" I programed the ps2 control for the pc. When I move the control left it makes the car completely turn to the left regardless of how hard or soft I move the button to the left. If I played the same game on the ps2, xbox, etc. I would be able to turn the car ever so slightly to the left and not a full turn like on the pc game with the ps2 controller. Did that make any sense?

Some games just wouldent be the same on a console. "Black and White 2" for instance.

For xbox I donno cause I hate that thing.. Do a search on afterdawn.com and see who people are using. Now if you want your ps2 chipped I have the guy to do it for $80 bucks installed. If its a hard mod like that, have a pro do it.

Yeah I didnt say that. I did say im waiting for the modding of it. When the mod comes out the ps3 will be able to play the backups from a blue-ray backup (not cost efficient as of today).. Or off of a huge hard drive (500GB + preferably) since the games are what 10-40gigs??
