never had a problem drilling them out... just get a decent set of bits, they'll be worth it.

we had a customer come in with a riveted body kit he wanted taken off.. i took a grinder and carefully grinded off the heads of each rivet.. then just tap it out with a screw driver thingy that isnt really a screw driver.. but more kinda like a nail. and a hammer.. and if the hole needs to be cleaned and filled just take a drill bit the same size as the rivet. and drill it. and make a nice clean hole... and fill it with whatever...

drilling rivets does not break them. every time i had to remove the bumper on seadoos i had to drill out like 20. always used the same bit. once you get a few rivets on the bit you can put it in a vice or take some plyers, put the drill in reverse and they come right off.

its easy with a 1/8" drill

I dont see how youd break them, I think I drilled 80+ once and didnt dull the bit

a modification of bukaka's:

use a grinder, but make a X on the head (instead of grinding the whole head), this will make it real easy to break off the head with a chisel. may require a punch to tap them out if its kinda stuck there.

when u take that grinder like that, u risk it ------- up whatever ur working on. same for the chisel.

thats why u just grind the head enough for it to get weakend. then just use that screw driver thing. and a couple taps wth the hammer. and ur all set.

i wish i could explain things better but i suck at explaining......

drill for sure, just dont try putting alot of force onto the drill, that usually when the bits break
