haha - i agree - that is a good question. That text was pulled from JCWhitney's product description. I guess you should take that up with the manufacturer.

I guess I could see this happening on some turbo charged engines depending on how close the starter is to the turbo, but most honda setups dont put the turbo very close to the starter to heat soak it. I guess I just dont understand :P

yea the extra horsepower thing is retarded

but like j davis said, some stock starters, mostly old ones, cant bump over a high comp v8 very easily

i always crank my starter when in the middle of a race to help spin a few extra ponies, and if it takes a few teeth off the flywheel in the process the better.... less weight

its a good thing i read the whole thread, cause i was about to put that down. thats the only logical reason that i can think of on increase hp and torque! its common logic...
