I have no idea what that has to do with turbo cars.

For high CR NA rides, particularly domestics, the stock starter may not be enough. The last RLZ-built 2.1 I saw at my friend Dick's workplace is supposed to be 15:1 CR and starts just fine with a stock starter, so.... :X

ok. just want to make sure my ego did not fail me.
I used my stock starter with my turbo car, and it only takes one crank to start. so I guess that auction is the ricers.
I found this while I was looking for use parts that worth money, I am thinking of opening a ebay store and sell parts from German cars, mostly ricer parts, like lights, grills, and emblems, since the US spec cars are different from the euro spec, kinda like jdm

His girlfriend would say so, yes.

My friend's last name is Dick... it makes for endless amusement at his expense which he has had to tolerate for his whole life, to the point he actually is a Dick.

LOL damnit I want a friend named Dick now. I have dick envy. So many possibilities.

"He has called me 3 times today. I hate it when Dick's up my ass"

"If you're not busy we can maybe go to my place and watch a movie. I'll introduce you to my friend, Dick". "Oh that guy, I know him from high school" "No, i mean my penis"

"You're being a real Dick" "what did I do?" "Nothin"

"Eliminates heat soak problems associated with OE starters being used on turbo engines"

I guess I could see this happening on some turbo charged engines depending on how close the starter is to the turbo, but most honda setups dont put the turbo very close to the starter to heat soak it. I guess I just dont understand :P

Re: what does a starter has to with hp+torque

yea the extra horsepower thing is retarded

but like j davis said, some stock starters, mostly old ones, cant bump over a high comp v8 very easily

i always crank my starter when in the middle of a race to help spin a few extra ponies, and if it takes a few teeth off the flywheel in the process the better.... less weight

its a good thing i read the whole thread, cause i was about to put that down. thats the only logical reason that i can think of on increase hp and torque! its common logic...
