Re: what do you niggers think off this?
Uber lightness. ~900lbs(!) all up weight powered by a tweaked ZX12R motor :6
I had a 2wd Rover V8 powered one but never finished it. House buying sucks ass :( EDIT: it's called a Dax Rush - http://www.daxcars.co.uk/ |
Re: what do you niggers think off this?
Correction, it's called a Lotus Seven clone. 900 lbs I'm not buying, maybe 1100.

Big craze on the kit car scene over here. We even have a company that will will fit a turbocharged busa engine into a Smart car :6 :l |

That car *is* 900lbs in stripped form (without passenger seat or windscreen), as I know the owner (he works for Dax Cars). The whole bike engined cars scene has been obsessed with weight saving since inception. A good friend of mine has a car engined Caterham that he's managed to get down to 1000lbs on the nose with savings still to be made. A full road trim car engined Rush is closer to 1500lbs. I think the record currently stands at just under 800lbs in a Fireblade powered Caterham, but we're not talking a car with much in the way of *anything* attached to it. bicycle computer for a speedo, Stack dash for revs and all auxiliary instrumentation. One seat, no trim etc. As for the drive line in them, they're mounted transverse using an adapter for the gearbox to hook up to a normal prop. Power is then fed to a normal 7" Ford Sierra diff (like found under the arse end of a Merkur XR4Ti). Here's a few pics under the skin http://www.daxcars.co.uk/rush/reviews/index.htm and a quick Google image search shows plenty more from a factory open day, including these Chassis http://r-a-c-e-r-s.net/bilder/Dax%20...abusa/View.jpg Busa turbo install ;D http://r-a-c-e-r-s.net/bilder/Dax%20...a/hayabusa.jpg More Busa turbo http://web.ukonline.co.uk/locosaki/p..._hayabusa2.jpg |
