All day every day here. We have autocrime going around in pimped out navigators checking VIN's for engine's tranny's and fenders(front end conversions).
Cops literally block in parking lots, tell people to pop their hoods and walk around checking VIN's. I was never checked adn I doubt they could because of all the dirty and grease on my VIN and also i have an old engine. Lastly the it's nearly impossible to see the VIN in my car unless I take the bumper and FMIC off.
