Engineer two degrees, work within a manufacturing plant enviroments for 20 years. I don't recommend it. If you are studying engineering, target emplyment which does not require a great deal of time in routine manufacturing. I spin a wrench as a serious hobby and sometimes make money that way as well.

I sure jinxed myself pretty ------- good today. Walk into work to find out we had a power surge at 1:51am and our Powerware UPS did not function properly.
Another surge at 9am, then another at 11am. The 9am one blew a server.

We shut down every server/router/power source, which rendered every GEICO insurance Legal Department in the US useless from 11am-30pm this afternoon.

Guess I'll keep my mouth shut

I'm an electrical engineer in charge of high voltage residential power supplies. I make more than most people in this area. I guess I found a decent job and stuck with it. Started at the bottom and worked my way to the top. I'm the second from the top actually, third if you count the boss. :P

The very basic visual basic, Topspeed (Clarion) for database design, access (lots of fun with databases), ASP web, but it was mostly Topspeed because I was working on a HUGE program that took over 1 year to put together. 5 Years before that (when I wasn't there) of planning... lol. Utility billing software. Huge.

Firefighter outside of Seattle. I'd honestly say I have one of the best jobs in the world. Work 10 days a month, 24hr shifts, sitting on my *** or sleeping 20 hrs of that, 4hrs of playing with fire and car accidents. Not a CRX owner *yet* but looking into buying one as a daily driver. Because every time I mod my DSM it tends to break =)
