Sorry guys that I have to say this, but I would not recomend getting a Honda. Two reasons:
1. I'm a sophomre in college and tried to get all my ---- from Atlanta to Tallahassee and it was impossible with my car. I ended up driving around in my family's utility vihicle the whole year. A peice of ---- 1992 toyata previa. Thats a van for those who dont know. Take it from somebody who experienced it; you will kick yourself in the *** for getting a small car. Go out and get mid 90's jeep cherokee. They are realiable and the girls LOVE cars they can bring friends around in.
2. You're gonna be in college. College costs a lot of money, you will soon find this out....there are hiddend costs in everything. Even if you did get a Honda, your not going to have any ------- money to put in that car. Maybe if you dont eat for a month.
I'm not trying to get any flack here. I'm just trying to give good advice.

Never said he should get a V8, I said a mid 90's jeep cherokee. (They make a V6). And if you are able to get all the stuff for your kit while in college....cool.
I do agree that a four door could be the way to go.
And about me being able to live without all my ----....there is nothing better knowing my car is safe and sound INSIDE my garage back home where it wont get stollen, trashed, weathered all over, and have miles put on it. The sun in Florida sucks. I would rather drive around some pile of ---- than have my baby ruined.

Acually the cherokee has a strait six, but gets the gas milage of a v8. The real early ones(83ish) had a carbed v6 and if your suggesting he should get that, you should kill your self. If you need more room get a teggy. I you would be supprized how much ---- I can pack in the wifes
