Are you related to Cornfuzed?

To the OP, what size inter cooler do you have? Sounds like you have one that is entirely too big.

the ic is a 12in X 24in X 3in

its not that big imo, but i try to keep the car as sleeper as posible... so id like the ic all the way under the bumper/ and i dont want tohave a big hole in the bumper like some you fools do..

Dude it's a civic so safe and civic don't really go together. It's like CRX and family car.

If I had a huge intercooler and had to cut into the bumper support, I'd weld something on to brace it. A bumper support is more useful than a few inches of a FMIC that isn't getting airflow anyway.

+1 it not only acts as a crash support but helps with the structural integrity of the car. If its a 100% track car cut it and don't worry about it. If this car is still gonna see the street alot brace it with something, angle iron or something.

I say either pick up a shorter intercooler or a lip. I think with a lip it would hide it well.

you guys wouldn't believe how critical that ------ support is. I rear ended someone in my integra at about 5 mph, and the ------ thing crunched in pretty well.
