Just go with a 600. That will be small enough not to kill you but big enough that you won't feel like a tool on it after a week of riding.

i agree, riders look ----- on a 250. my buddy bought a brand spankin new ninja 250 to learn on. ended up dropping it...when it wasn't even started...rolling outta my driveway. he's now going through the hassle of finishing his payments and looking for a 600.

y not just buy a beater/used 600 and take it easy?

i had this question in my mind too....never rode before and i'm lookin to get a bike and woundered what would be a good starter bike....my friends say 600, but juss don;t knw what one is the better choice

That's my new bike. Pick it up when I get back from vacation in a week. 750cc's, sport touring. Best of all, it's from my boss' nephew so I'm getting a good deal.

yeah, I like it. It can keep up with the 600cc sport bikes, and insurance for me is only 300 a year
