Western PA meet - Flashlight Drags May 20th
Let's see if we can actually have an HMT meet for once, guys
http://alteredgas.com/flashlight_drags.html
Gates open at 2:00 (I WILL be there when the gates open)
Racing starts at 4:00 and ends at 8:00.
It's $5 to watch, $25 to race.
If you race, you get 5 "pink slips" if I remember correctly. You race down the 1/8 mile track, whoever wins gets one of the pink slips from the other racer. For instance, you could win 5 races in a row, and now you have 10 pink slips. When you run out of pink slips, you're done racing. So make sure you don't go against some of the big dogs, haha.
Also, if you're not racing but you want to show off your car, there's a special "car show" area to park your car and show it off.
Rules for racing:
Mufflers - Required
DOT Tires – Required (No slicks)
Current State Registration - Required
Proof of Insurance - Required
Valid Drivers License - Required
No Passengers
Convertibles - tops up or bring a helmet
Vehicles must be driven in - No Trailers
Burn outs in designated areas only
Driver must wear wristbands on left wrist
Altered Gas Performance Events waiver must be signed
Drivers must attend the drivers’ meeting prior to the start of each event
So far, turdbo said him and a few friends could make it out. I'd like some of you guys to make it out
Paul, Samson, etc? Post up guys.

Ugh... you should try to go to a real track. 1/8th mile at an airport? I'll pass.
PRP has some Sport Compact Shootouts this summer
National Trail is having some kind of Import thing on July 16th and NeoFest on August 5th. Or hell, go to Quaker City Raceway July 30th(?) for the Honda/Acura Shootout.

This isn't a real track type of deal. You get a lot of runs in, but theres no times or anything. But even if you just come to watch it's fun to watch some sleepers beat on other cars (turbo ITR killing a viper for instance).

Yeah, I was telling Dan about the SCS and the bikini thing coming up soon. There is also Thunder in the Burgh which I will got, but no chance I'm racing for $35 for like 330ft. strip. Still should be fun. I say we get a meet at PRP on a Saturday Test N' Tune that way we can get some racing in for $20 rather than get 3 runs for $35 on SCS. I'll probably go to those events, but only to spectate.
I think, if it's nice, I'm going to PRP Wednesday night if anyone is interested.
