They've changed the laws now though. Now if you get caught, even if it's your first offense you go to jail for 10 days no questions asked. I'm sure the fines have gone up as well.
edit: DUI's in VA were a misdemeanor I don't know if it's changed or not.

Hope your not on a tight budget your insurance is gonna be through the roof buddy of mine was paying 300 a month for liablity after his dui for his crx up in Chico in nor cal until he said ---- it and just rides a bike everywhere now
