Well holy shit, something worked out in my favor.

So Sprint has been ------- me over for the past couple months by adding some bullshit options onto my account that I didn't ask for and have actually asked them to remove. I get my new bill and god damn it, another $15 charge for "Vision picture pack". >:( Fuckers....

I email them with this:

I have asked several times to have the pictures option removed
and it appears to have been removed months ago, yet I keep getting
billed for it. I haven't used any picture options in months and my plan
says nothing about a picture pack, yet I keep getting charged for it. If
this happens again I'll cancel my service with Sprint. I would like a
refund on the past months that I have been charged for this also. This
is unacceptable. Please respond soon or I will be forced to cancel my
service and deny any future payments from my account. Thanks.
Justin

and they responded with this:

Dear Justin,

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced.

As requested, I have removed the PCS Vision Pictures Pack from your
account and you will not be charged for it again.

I have also applied a credit of $45.00 that was charged for PCS Vision
Pictures Pack for past three months to your account. This credit will
be reflected on your next invoice.

It was a pleasure serving you and have a great day.

Mervin S.
Sprint eCare

??? Should I email them back and ask if they're sure? ??? I'm not used to this. What should I do? ???

Giving you back $45 that you paid them for nothing is "going in your favor"? ???

Going in your favor would have been them ------- up and adding another zero to your refund. ;)

Re: Well holy shit, something worked out in my favor.

you should call- i hustle verizon everytime i get someone on the phone
just threaten to cancel and tell them you don't care about the termination fee from the contract of whatever
they'll usually do a lot if they realize they're going to loose a customer

my bill one month was over 200bucks (don't have a clue how) late night text messages to little nymphos-probably

just so happens that i broke my phone and i had like a week left on my contract-called them up told them i would go to cingular if they didn't credit my bill and let me get a new phone for the promotional price .... got my bill brought down to 93 bucks and got a new motorola camera phone for 100 minus a 50 dollar rebate that i still havn't sent in....
and the bitch credited me the 15 minutes i spent on the phone working all this out with her
hahhahaha

Re: Well holy shit, something worked out in my favor.

You can send them a thank you note. Call their customer service dept. in a few days and ask a rep. to tell you about the most recent credit in your account.

Re: Well holy shit, something worked out in my favor.

Damn, if I would have known that I would have called them up months ago. I got fucked pretty hard by a local Sprint provider. Long story short, they told me anything they could to get me to sign up for a new contract(they must get a commision?)and lied their asses off to me. I ended up getting a $200 phone bill the next month because they got me on two seperate accounts plus some other bullshit when all I wanted to do was add a phone to my current plan. >:( One of these days I'll be walking by that place all drunk(it's right next to a bunch of bars I liek to go to)and I'll get my revenge...... >:(

the cancellation thing won't work unless you're toward the end of you contract. like 10 months into it or so. its easier for them to keep existing customers than to find new ones, so they're more willing to give you a discounted plan. these plans are called retention plans, and they give you incentive to stay with sprint

I've been a Sprint customer for like 4 years now. I got fucked into another 2 year contract which I'm only about 6 months into right now. The shitty thing is Sprint is the best provider in my area. My first cel phone was a Cellular One phone which I never got a clear phone call out of. >:( ---- those people. >:(

I don't even have my own cell phone right now. I use my company cell phone. My mom has the only phone on my plan. They won't let me have another phone until Feb, 2006 unless I pay full price, which is ------- rediculous. No way I'm paying $300+ for a phone. ::)

i hear ya doc

i happen to prefer sprint, all my friends have transferred to verizon, but not me. i've never really had a problem, sounds like you got fucked by the dealer

Re: Well holy shit, something worked out in my favor.

dude i worked for sprint up until 2 weeks ago, they will dick you over so hard. contact me if you need to know what to say/do to get free ---- from them. like if you need a phone./ dont want ripped off/ want free ----. honestly. sprint contracts out there customer service and most of these call centers are extremly ghetto and full off crackhead shitbags that they train for a few weeks then put on the phones. if you can read and type 18 words a minnute you have a job there guarenteed. but if you need a phone or anything like that or have any problems with them just hit me up on aim. and if you ever call customer service. dont ever let them fill out an esclation ticket. thats such horse ---- and they always get thrown away by the supervisors. i quit there because i was about to get fired for giving to much credit out. and i always got intruble for not lieing to people and always fixing everyones account.. seirsouly supervisors will come by and tell you to lie to people to get them off the phones. because all sprint watches from the call centers is the avrage handle time. the ammount of credit given out. and the ammount of sales. when you call in. make sure you get the reps id number it should be like ccoate07 thats what mine was. its a way to track who did what to your account. get ever reps name. people send out fradulent phones and ---- allot because there all crack heads and its 20 dollars comission off every one. and people get so fucked over when they get in in the mail call in to cancle it find out they have to pay an early term fee and they didint even sign a contract and we wont wave it until we receive the phone back. i always just went ahead and took it off anyway. you can also hustle by calling up and saying your a sprint representive and tell them your p2k system is down and you need them to add ---- to your account because there was an error in the billing. most of the people who work there cant do simple math. the only reason you become supervisors there is if you sell things. and thats all they care about because sprint also pays commission to the companys they contract out to. the place i worked for was telepreformance usa. theres a few otherones. if you woulda posted a few weeks ago i would have just thrown 100 on your account 8)

I don't really have any other choice but to stick with Sprint since everybody else sucks as far as reception out here. What I really want is a rebate on a new phone. They say I'm not eligable for a rebate until feb, 2006, which sucks. I got a new phone with a rebate in Aug, 2004 and they told me I could come back and get another one with a rebate as soon as I turn my current phone off. I wanted to change my number and geta new phone at the same time, but they told me it was impossible. ::) That's why I got fucked. Cock suckers.....

Re: Well holy shit, something worked out in my favor.

call up to customer service and press 0 until you get a rep on the line then ask what your customer value is.

verision should be as good as sprint in that area. they use the same towers.

they can add the rebate anytime you want but you have to sign another 2 year contract for the full 150 so its bs anyway. and they usualy screw you out of it since its a mail in.

your phone.

when they told you they couldent change your number thats bullshit.

it takes like 2 minnutes. and all you have to do is program the phone.

you can call up.. and ask for the gold customer department. tell the reprs on the phone that you called in to cancle and talked to the retentions department or gold custmoer department. then tell them the last time you talked to a rep there they told you they would send you out a toshiba phone (these are the phones they give out for free) if you keep service with sprint. tell them they also said they were going to lower your plan cost. they will do it almost guarenteed. if they say they dont see anything about it in your account. complain so much. be like WELL THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO NOTATE THAT IN MY ACCOUNT. THEY DIDINT DO ANYTHING I CANT BELEIVE THIS. but dont be a dick to the rep. just be persistant. you need a reason why the phones broke though. and if they dont let you out you can try to cancel. if you move outside of the sprint coverage area. they have to let you cancle your account with no early termination fees. so pick some random ass in the sticks town in montana and say your moving there. if they dont have coverage there they CANNOT charge you the 150 a line. the best bet is to say you alredy did move. and your living there now and dont have any coverage. and thought you would and need to get a new phone because this line is for a business. youl get your ---- guarenteed

jinxy 04-09-2005 03:11 PM

Re: Well holy shit, something worked out in my favor.

if your accualy going to cancel just say nevermind to the retentions rep if they wont get you a phone. they should though. then hang up and call back to talk to a diffrent rep and use the i moved to montana so i need to cancle my phone i was told theres going to be no early termination fee.ect.

Re: Well holy shit, something worked out in my favor.

Dah I worked at a Radioshack and the worst part was selling Verizon / Sprint phones. Whenever I get anything from Verizon I always check online first...and always opt for the 1 year contract... the phone might cost a little more but a new discounted phone every 8-10 months doest hurt. Also check online for proper pricing as stores can be retarded for some reason......

Re: Well holy shit, something worked out in my favor.

sprint customer services involves a shaft being rammed up your -------. so many stories of sprint being full of it and telling people to go get stuff fixed at radio shack or somewhere else...once they have your contract they care less

jinxy 04-09-2005 10:29 PM

Re: Well holy shit, something worked out in my favor.

yep, where i worked i got moved to this thing called icu. because i was fixing to many peoples accounts. and not selling anything. basicly they act like your a dumbass and dont listen. i got yelled at for transfering someone who couldent speak english to the spanish line without asking premission. so i told this bitch acting like i was the dumbest mother fucker in the world i dont realy care. she yelles more and says "have you even written on your transfer sheet" i said yeah i wrote on it. she goes back to the desk to see that i had just drawn all over it and didint write ----. she tells me to go back to my desk and from now on i tell people that our systems are broken and i cant transfer and i can only give the number out. so i just told her to ---- off loged out and left. they used to tell me to do ---- like. tell people your going to give them vision free for 2 months just because of all the truble they went through. and make that be the solution they got for us overcharging them like 30 dollars insted of crediting it. wich is tottal bullshit and i fully disagreed with it. they would even have us lie to people to send them phones. id rather help out 1300 people in a few months and get fired/walk out than ---- thousands of people over, lie for some corporation who doesnt give a rats ass, and do a bunch of ---- i just dont agree with just to keep a job for as long as i wanted.

when you get a phone from radioshack sprint says they cant fix it because its in radioshacks agreement to fix it because they offer some diffrent warentee wich is just realy the manufactures warentee that comes with the phone anyway. and radioshack doesnt fix anything nor do they have loaner phones you can get while they ship your phone off to the manufacure to get fixed so basicly you just get tottaly dicked if you get a phone from there.

Good to hear your not getting shot at :D

Ya, ive been getting charged for the vision package for a while now. I hope they have finally taken it off, if not, then i will just email them a few times.

Re: Well holy shit, something worked out in my favor.

hey doc just watch your next invoice.

when i signed up with sprint it was on a $50 service credit for signing up.

After a couple of those emails and phone calls where they promised the credit, i ended up never getting it even tho every person i talked to told me it would "be on my next invoice".

i eventually called and cancelled service.

88crxSi 04-11-2005 07:38 AM

Re: Well holy shit, something worked out in my favor.

adding service to your phone/cable/internet without your knowledge and than expeting you to call in if you don't want that serivice is called reverse marketing and is illegal.

let them know that term, REVERSE MARKETING ;)

Same position. They charged me for something I never used (not sure what it was exactly) but I forced them to reverse it....sometimes the guys in the Sprint office are easier to deal with than the fockers online/phone. What plan do you have by the way?

Dr.Boost 04-11-2005 04:57 PM

Re: Well holy shit, something worked out in my favor.

I have this plan:
PCS Free & Clear Plan

* $40.00 PCS Free & Clear Plan
* All Minutes Include Long Distance
* 500 Anytime Minutes
* Unlimited Night and Weekend Minutes
* Nights: M-Th 9PM-7AM Wknd: F 9PM-M 7AM
* Caller ID, Call-waiting
* Three-way Calling
* Voicemail
* Additional Anytime Minutes $0.40 Per Min

and it's never said anything about a pictures pack, yet at the end of the month it would always get added to my plan. >:(

Now that I think about it, I'm going to call them next time and just tell them I want to close my account. I remember last time I shut a line down they wanted to suck my cack over the phone to get me to keep it open. This ------- lady was trying to sell me her sole to keep it open. If they don't give me my credit next billing cycle I'm calling those bitches up. I bet I come out with a new phone out of the deal. ;D

just do what i said. i used to hustle retentions for people all the time when i worked for sprint

Re: Well holy shit, something worked out in my favor.

I've been told my many people recently that Sprint has eliminated their retention department, and will now cancel your service a lot of the time without even questioning you. People have abused their retention department for years (me included) and it looks like they have finally gotten wise to it. There are still ways to get free credits every month through sprint though, I save $10 a month usually.

jinxy 04-11-2005 05:41 PM

Re: Well holy shit, something worked out in my favor.

they still have it, they jsut dont let you go if you have 1-2 dollar sign customer value. thats why i told him to ask if htey tell you your customer value is n/a or abover 2 dollar signs then they have to transfer you to retentions

ill look to see if i can find the number somewhere
