I'm from Norway so going to homedepot would cost me 2000 just to get there ;)

What I mean is type. THere is the inverter and the mig/mag thing. (if I'm not way off). What's the difference?

also check out harbor-freight -they have a kit for $100, but you get what you pay for. :-\

I had the exact same one before. I returned it after 2 and 1/2 month of owning it. It was good for what it is but I wanted a Tig. I ended up returning it and got this Miller tig instead.

how do you like it? i was thinking of getting that, but you can't do aluminum with it so i'm leaning toward the syncrowave 180SD. i'll have to run some rotex cable and put in a 60amp breaker with a safety switch, but i really want to be able to do aluminum. for me that is the whole point of getting a tig.

Re:Welder

I have not even plug it in yet, it's a pain to have it here at my apt and not being able to use it. I'm bringing it to my parent's house tomorrow and trying it out this weekend. I"m on a budget and also I would never have time to mess up aluminum, that is solely why I went this this machine. I did a lot of research on several welding board before going with this one so i'm sure i won't regret it even though I know I will get something better in the future.
