Weird PC Beep(s)
I've noticed that while playing counter-strike my pc speaker beeps.
Like 10 minutes into playing the pc speaker beeped once. like 10 minutes later it beeped twice. So i shut the game off, and watched a DivX Movie (Alien VS Pred). 25 minutes and no beeps. So I load CS back up and while its connecting to a game the computer shuts right off and turns back on. I heard the HDD's power down and power up.. nothing since. im lost, haven't been able to find anything about it on the net. Anyone have some insight? |
Re:Weird PC Beep(s)
ecu might be over heating. those beeps are a warning.

Re:Weird PC Beep(s)
temps are 44c max on the cpu..

Re:Weird PC Beep(s)
I'm going to install a logger to log the voltages/temps of the computer... we'll see..
anyone know if the new power supplies work on p3's? i notice all new PSU's arep4/AMD Support but will it work on a older p3 too? |
Re:Weird PC Beep(s)
Yep it will work fine. Sounds like either an overtemp issue or a voltage drop. Looks like you have things under control so far.

Re:Weird PC Beep(s)
if it aint broke dont fix it :P

Re:Weird PC Beep(s)
go look up what the beep tones are. There is a guide to that for your motherboard I think.

Re:Weird PC Beep(s)

Re:Weird PC Beep(s)
antec and enermax, only people(i trust and use) that make a cheap/good power supply.
here if you dont know how to get them cheap(well for $40ish): http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...ion=17-103-917 http://www.legendmicro.com/store/mor...roduct_ID=2619 http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/Produc...uctCode=270300 i would pop for a antec case with powersupply since its only $20 more. you can save ur self $20 when building a computer by using a cheap case and powersupply but your gonna spend aleast $20 to replace a bad power supply with another shitty one. just pop for the good stuff the first time. |
Re:Weird PC Beep(s)
i completely agree. next case is going to be a Antec Sonata w/ 380w TruePower.
(will a truepower 380 work on a p3 board and cpu until i upgrade?) |
