A weekend in SOCAL HMT Stylez (56K fix yourself a sandwich)

OK well this how we spent the weekend.... I went to work on saturday morning, but RENR, DOnald, and JUlio went to WHITERice's house to work on the cars. They had mostly everything that didnt require welding installed, so when i showed up at 8pm with the welder we got down to business.

I didnt do much saturday night but weld up a wastegate dump pipe out of some spare intercooler piping, but sunday morning was a different story.

http://www.newbieforces.com/files/the%20cars.JPG
The cars

http://www.newbieforces.com/files/thebouncer.JPG
Its vin diesel.... o no wait thats just RENR

http://www.newbieforces.com/files/whitericeseetup.JPG
This is white rice's setup... after a new engine, and different turbo...

http://www.newbieforces.com/files/holeblock.JPG
This is WHiteRice's old engine.... damn thats a big ass hole. this must have been the exit wound...damn week ass pinky rods couldnt even hang at 20psi..

http://www.newbieforces.com/files/the%20sleeper.JPG
This is RENR's setup... Cant see anything??? thats the point...

http://www.newbieforces.com/files/gh...20mounting.JPG
Wastegate hitting the block???? Solution? Mount it on the block

http://www.newbieforces.com/files/the%20mess.JPG
This isnt as bad as how it got later on that night... You couldnt even walk in there...

http://www.newbieforces.com/files/downpipe%203.JPG
THis is Donalds AC COmpatible downpipe I took forever to make, and on the bottom is SS autochrome's so called downpipe.. we used that peice as charge piping...

http://www.newbieforces.com/files/downpipe3.JPG
HMMMMM t3/T4 with AC???? how the hell did we pull that off... It was hell I hate AC/s

http://www.newbieforces.com/files/downpipe2.JPG
DAMn you AC compressor.... Damn you to Hell!!!!!!

http://www.newbieforces.com/files/downpipenstuff.JPG
DAmn... we sure love that orange Silicone dont we... at least its not pink...

http://www.newbieforces.com/files/do...0setup%201.JPG
http://www.newbieforces.com/files/donaldssetup2.JPG
http://www.newbieforces.com/files/donaldssetup.JPG

I noticed its not that hard to make an AC compatible kit, It just limits the creative aspects of it... but it can be done with the right parts, wich i think i might be getting into making a few manifolds and downpipes for you AC having yuppies

http://www.newbieforces.com/files/gh...apterplate.JPG
This is julio... This is julio's adapter plate he and Whiterice rigged up with a drill press, the plate got welded onto the HF manifold.. damn thats ghetto...

http://www.newbieforces.com/files/ouches.JPG
I was cutting a pipe and i cut through it real fast... and it cought my finger.... So now theres a small peice of it missing... but ill be alright...

dam we got a lot of things done this weekend. mike got a new motor installed, donald got his kit on, my wastegate got fixed, and we started on julios kit. all this in what felt to be 100degree weather. we better all hit 13's this weekend...

hows the motor mike and the kit donald?

Re:A weekend in SOCAL HMT Stylez (56K fix yourself a sandwich)

mine ran pretty smooth...
i just found out it`s not even hitting 4psi :-X but still pulls good. it doesn`t really pull all that hard unti it hits vtec at 4th gear :-X
going to get the elbo tomol and have the dump and the whole exhauts done THEN i`d try to crank it up to like 7 or 8 psi and richen up the whole map a little.. and see whatsup.
my oil pressure is only at like 45 psi at 3000rpm...sound normal??

as of Mike`s car, after we hook everything up and try tried to start it...it sounded like it has a low comp. cylinder and wouldn`t start(i am sure Mike was going to cry out loud :P)...THEN he found out ~~SOMEBODY~~ hooked up the btm wrong...
it fried right up after we got it fixed..

such a good weekend ::) ;)

hows the motor mike and the kit donald?
renr, i think you took the 2nd adjustable wastegate. i have your painted one. took me a minute to get one hooked up (might be leaking. we can fix that sat.)
julio, u sure u tightened the water plug mang? no.
donald, exhaust was not tight. did all that after...

can someone please clean up that garage is dirty as hell.
i spent all day cleaning the garage. my car fits with the engine hoist now. i can walk around it and still use the jack. however, i was only able to clean half of the driveway with

DEGREASER
and a tire brush.
Oh yeah, I changed the intercooler to the saab one. took some time to make it work. will post pics tomorrow.

Ya, I am missing a few things. Not much, but I need to make a list. I also found some tools that are not mine; will bring them Saturday. I'll take a pic tomorrow so everyone can subtract from what they're missing.
