weber carb, toyota 22r, etc.

well, my aisin stock carb imploded itself internally, and i was displeased with the poor mpg that was resulting more and more, so i picked up a weber off of a '83 jag (jets are within needle adjustment for a relatively stock 22r) for fitting in toolbox discount, and after getting it installed, it seems that if i adjust primary mixture, 5 minutes later the needle hasn't moved but it acts like it has. this is on a fully warm engine.

i really don't have any weber experiences, mostly holley and aisin, anyone know if this is a weber issue or not? carb was pretty damn clean inside, gas was decently fresh, popped it open, lubed linkages, wiggled em a few hours later, lubed again, etc, the usual carb stuff. seems to be much more responsive and stuff vs the stock deal.. really wanna keep this

Is it going lean or rich??? Sounds to me like it could be a ton of stuff. Without proper info I couldn't tell you where to begin.

throttle return spring was hitting the choke cable, and my one jet needle thing for primaries had a bad o-ring. i fixed it, ------ runs cleaner than any holley that ive seen. good thing is, these carbs like boost if i ever decide to go back boosted on this

I know first hand how this carb likes boost, and doesn't like large amounts of pressure.

trying to figure out why this carb has no balls on my truck. played with the needles all over, can't really seem to get much more than less than stock performance out of it..

its a weber thing, these 22r guys buy em...1/2 the time they work great, 1/2 the time they don't work worth a ----.
