Ding.... Much like purchasing private property, building a bar, and having the government tell you you can't smoke there. Smokers= criminals. Guns, criminals, driving an suv, criminal, flying the flag, criminal...... just wait.

i dint read all the post but my opinion is that if there should be any new gun laws, there should be one that if you not a citizen of the US or if you weren't born in the US legally, then you shouldn't be able to buy a gun..... criminals are going to find a way to get weapon to hurt people even if we outlawed guns in the US. they are still going to find ways to get ----..you don't even need a gun. anybody can go up to home depot and buy ---- to make a pipe bomb its not that hard( i have made a couple myself for fun)....if they want a way to hurt people they will find a way.....im for guns, i have a bunch at my house(pistols, rifles, shotguns and even a spear gun... i be damed if im going to let someone take my weapons away....

I keep my gun closer to me than my wallet.

Donald, its states like Cali. and places like VT that are so called "gun free zones" where ---- usually goes down because the perpitrator knows that no one there other than security or cops will have a gun.

If you ask me every state should adopt the" rite to cary" law. Usualy people who are willing to submit to a full backgroung check and give up their fingerprints dont have anything to hide and are most likely not going to go out and commit mass murder. If one person in that building would of been carrying I think things might of been a little different :-\

I cant belive that people still blame guns for ---- like this. :3

One thing i would like to point out is that, theres people mention how student should be allow to carry guns to school in order to protect themself is just plain stupid. We are not in the cow-boy era anymore, this is not a society where you just walk up and kill the ----------er who shot you.

You know why your statement is among the stupidest statements ever made by humans? Because, weather or not it's illegal for you to have a gun, Donald, If I was a criminal, I'd have one no matter what. So you have a choice to make, Donald. Do you choose to give up your right to protect yourself so I can shoot you defenseless and clean in the chest, or would you rather at least have the opportunity to defend yourself? Because beleive me Donald, legal or not, If I want a gun, I WILL get one. So, man up, and get your gun license... Or be at my mercy.

You live your life -- just keep your scared ideals to yourself. It's unfortunate, but too many people in power listen to damn minority opinions, and it's ruining the country. Those aren't KIDS. Those are COLLEGE students. If they are 21, why the hell can't they exercise the same rights the rest of us can? Yeah. Exactly. It's stupid. The kids are in college, not jail. They don't need more 'prison' guards, they need their rights, and to be left the hell alone.

...----... I don't want the king of england busting down MY door.

Re: We needs a new system to control guns

If guns are no longer accessible as easy as they are now, there will be less DEADLY crime. Why? Because not that many weapon kill as quick as guns, and people do not DIE as quick as getting shot by guns. Take a big knife, stab someone in the head, then feed a bullet into another then see which one died quicker. This Korean guy actually walked into a gun store, bought the guns on the counter and killed that many people, yet none of you see where the problem is at? Yet you will be saying how he could have bought the guns through someone else, but is it going to be as easy? Do you guys really think such an ordinary guy could have known someone who sells guns as easy? What about all those school shooting where kids got their hand on parents guns? Parents ARE the ones to blame but it might not have happen as OFTEN as it is.

I am not saying once fire arms are under heavier control then gun flow will be zero and no one will be dieing from getting shot at. I came from Hong Kong where the gun system is pretty much like UK, there are still gun flows in gangs and people still rob with guns, but the chance are far less likely and there are far less crime involve fire arms. Yes, those who REALLY wanted to commit a crime will and can eventually get their hands on guns but it will not be as easy as it is now.
I agree that no law can be kept to an absolute but it could at least minimize the chance of fatal shootings. Australia and a few other country use to allow as much guns as the US does but after a similar shooting incident, they actually ban gun usage among public and crime rate involving guns has been keep on dropping ever since.
