Reading around about the various states of water, density, etc. Found
some super-cooled water yvideos that were interesting (to me). So,
32f/0c is the melting point of ice, not the freezing point of water...

Then there was that article about super-supercooled glassy water, and
it's "taffy-like" state. Water is weird stuff.

You intoxicated? I don't think I've ever seen you make such an obvious spelling mistake... my theory is further supported by the fact you're talking about how awesome water is haha.

reminds me of the flash boiling effect when you microwave boil water. Itll look like its at room temp and then when you add anything to it (i added some powdered coffee) and it will suddenly and explosively boil when as soon as somthing is added... When that happend to me, it went from a full coffee mug of water to about a half inch in the bottom... The rest shot up out of the cup a few inches and went everywhere

Actually I've been looking at a few... I might try the freezing one someday. Don't need boiling hot water to blow up on me; knowing me thats exactly what would happen as well

Speaking of water, I am understanding that redline 'water wetter' and a drop of handsoap are the exact same thing. Soap is the same principal thing...

JD, it happens with everything. There are transistion states. These transistion states are what make matter really interesting.

During the transition, the matter remains at the same temperature until enough energy has been absorbed and then the matter goes on to the next state and the temperature can rise. Same goes for when matter releasses energy too.

This is also why steam is very dangerous. It takes a ton of energy to in order to transistion water in a gas. So, steam could have a little energy or a bunch if it is right before changing states. Turbines use this phenomenon very effectively, as steam can contain a ton of energy.

I've done this with Gatorade, and even my Mt. Dew at times. Sometimes i forget i left them in the freezer ;)
