little or none, ive dyno'd 2 cars with meth and no suprise no gains with the meth on or off. (no changes made to tune)

the reason i ask is because i'm getting a lot of heat soak with my Saab intercooler.. would i be better off just keeping the IC colder with a water sprayer? it'll save me a ton of money..

spray bars are worthless unless you are spraying them all the time

and your point is

This is what I do daily on my LSV turbo. This doesnt mean I couldnt run 87 Octane and boost and be safe...but I feel safer running 87 Octane with the Water/Meth mixture.

In my opinion...water/meth injection can be used in two way.

Way #1 - if you are running near the edge of safety on Pump Gas and higher boost level, water/meth injector will increase the octane of the fuel/air mixture entering the combustion chamber as well and lower the charge temps which helps stave off detonation from whatever the source. If you tune the car on pump without any injection and then add the injection later, you will barely lose any power at all if any and run much safer for very inexpensively. Also, if you run out of Meth or the system ever fails...you are tuned here and you arent relying on the meth so chances are, nothing bad will happen

Way #2 - if you are trying to surpass the detonation threshold using pump gas (not using race gas) you can tune using Water/Meth injection to increased power levels by tuning leaner and meaner (more timing) as the increase in octane and lower charge temps allow you to raise the detonation threshold. However, if you run out of Meth or the system ever fails...no doubt that bad things will surely follow, immediately.

why not make the intercooler to an air to water setup.

hands down this is the best sum of how it works. I have tried to explain water/meth to people but have never been able to put it all together with out is looking like a cluster of ---- when you read it.

love the write up on this. this is what i want to do using xenocrons way #1. my only other question is, can the tank be built bigger, or is it possible to run two of them inline at the same time? i dont really see an issue in doing it like that. its just a little more weight but a longer period of time you can go without refilling it correct?

Correct, Snow Performance has an 8 Gallon tank...used for their diesel stuff mostly...but you could mount that in a Civic, certainly
