omfg i just read what you said.. ok buddy here we go http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5g...Rr_BAD92F4I300 "They have employed strategic bombers — the most potent air weaponry that is in the Russian arsenal .... They actually launched ballistic missile attacks on Georgian territory," the official said. He also said Russia has sent more than 1,000 paratroopers and armor into the region. http://edition.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/eu...f=mpstoryemail TBLISI, Georgia (CNN) -- Dozens of Russian warplanes bombed civilian and military targets in the former republic of Georgia on Saturday, and a Russian ambassador said that as many as 2,000 people had been killed in in the capital of separatist Georgian province South Ossetia. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7552012.stm Alexander Lomaia, of Georgia's national security council, said the attack was designed to "damage the runway". Tbilisi said Russia had brought 6,000 troops into Georgia by land and 4,000 by sea in preparation for a dawn raid. Earlier, Russian PM Vladimir Putin accused Georgia of genocide against the South Ossetian people, as fighting in the breakaway region intensified. The Georgian government has requested the U.S. government airlift roughly 2,000 Georgian soldiers out of Iraq and back to defend their homeland, an intelligence officer tells ABC News. |

http://www.defenselink.mil/pubs/BSR_2007_Baseline.pdf
starts on page 88 under japan, this is a listing of every building operated by the united states military through 2007. I said there were 37 bases, i meant "installations", look like i was a little off though. Point was that I don't see why we need all that and like you just said they paid you quite a bit to live there, so i really don;t see how we are helping them, I bet the tourism industry there really likes all the military aircraft as well. And now we are building the same thing over in Iraq. |
Re: WAR!!!
The real point is that, first, buk is a motel working sand nog. I'd stood stomp his cranium until they had to mop him up.
And then the actual point, the military signs their life (yes, all of it) away saying they will do whatever is necessary to protect this country, which cannot be looked down upon. The problem comes in when you have the commander in chief and the government telling them to go risk their lives when it really isn't anything beneficial to our country. In that instance, I'll speak about it however I wish, which is actually "supporting the troops" much more than someone telling me that the only way I can "support the troops" is to demand they stay in the red zone. If the time comes where a certain (or many) military people are offended by me paying attention and calling it like it is, then good. It's more than you can say about most Americans who forget there are people still in harms way to this day, and have no idea what it's like to empathize with their own lives and struggling families. From front to back the government and the media treats the military as numbers, dead and gone, and never even mentioned. It's fucked, and I'll say so if I want to. So when I say, "We get involved in everything, now go die for that ----", it isn't really a diss on the military as I was speaking about the bitchboys who send our people out to do it. |

Re: WAR!!!
we aren't going to send troops in to fight the russians, thats why we armed the georgians so they could be our bitch, the russians aren't ------- around they are attacking georgia because they are killing the (russian) citizens of a territory that won independence from georgia and is protected by russia.
This is similar to what we are doing in iraq, except they actually have a reason to be there. we won't send anyone there because of the massive casualties that would result, and frankly we have no strategic reason to do that and in the time it would take us to send a fleet over there the russians would already have forced georgia into a ceasefire. |

calling it like it is? What have you called? Forget there are sill people in harms way? No one forced them to be there.... empathize... again, no one is there forcefully, and at the end of there contact, they can get out. People are enlisting, re-enlisting, and actually...the military is paying perfectly good troops to get out... |
