Want to work at Pacific Raceways?
Our Road Racing club IRDC is in need of people to help work the August 16th and 17th race. It doesn't pay (never does), but you not only get into the race free and usually get to eat lunch and dinner free, but you get to be out in the turn stations and stuff. They really need corner workers in a bad way.
If you are avaiable to do this, send me an IM with your name address and phone number, and I will forward it to the Race Official in charge of organizing workers.
It is pretty cool to be right out there on the track watching the races too, I will be out there in the CRX hybrid, along with quite a number of really good drivers to kick my ***.
Hope to see you PNW guys out there!
Jim
ps: you can camp at the track too on Sat night

You won't get to actually race though. I am sure that after a weekend of watching the races from up close though, anyone would look into the world of road racing and how to get licensed. It is expensive, but a lot of fun.
I would recommend to people interested in learning come to one of the drivers schools to get some time on the track with an instructor.

So, anyone that wants to come out should not worry about the need for pink flags, there are typically no flamers there.
BTW, the schools are typically a couple hundred, there is a BMW school in Spokane in October that we might group up on again which gets you 2 full track days for about $300. This included Saturday night dinner at the Longhorn BBQ last time, and then we all hit the BlackJack table at the Casino to spend more money.
