you know im not the smartest guy around, but it seems to me that a mustang will get outrun by a camaro because the msutang has a what 4.6l 289ci motor, 302ci 5.0 if youre old school while the camaro used a 350ci 5.6l or something like that? my understanding is that a 351 swapped mustang will eat a ls1, etc, alive especially the police interceptors, my uncle had a 67 fairlane with a bone stock, freshly rebuilt, 88 police interceptor straight outta the ltd, that would own z28/ss's all day long, i remember the day he snapped the driveshaft in half while racing my dad who had a 68gmc pickup w/ a rebuilt 67 ss 427 motor in it at over 140 and he was a good 6 car lengths away from us, that damn car would fly, so in conclusion i would say a mustang has a direct disadvantage over a camaro, its like racing a stock d16 civic vs a stock gsr integra, who you thinks gonna win? but drop that gsr in a civic and youll have a closer race.....

very nice btw, if i was a mustang lover, im sure i would drool over that. i have a buddy at home who has a black 94 stang, all motor, running high 9's. all motor meaning built bottom end and top end with some kind of crazy fuel management. i havent seen it in awhile, last I knew, he was gonna start playin with suspension components. i cant wait to go home for christmas see how its comming around. ohh and his parents own a detail shop, you would not believe how clean that car was.
