I keep my neck covered while outside.

I'm in North Pole which is next to Ft. Wainwright.

Maybe a little, but I'm pretty far inland, so it's probably the same as the pacific NW.

Well, I haven't done much 3D CAD work, so it was kind of a "I wonder how hard it would be" plus:

I was also thinking about those prototyping places that can turn cad files into molds for casting. I wonder if there's a market for cast logs and if it would even be any cheaper to cast them. Hmmm...

Re: Virtual Log

Making a cast log doesn't make a whole lot of sense when you can just make a cast manifold design like the ones currently available. If you're going to use pipe and flanges and weld it together to make a log that's one thing, if you're going to make a cast manifold a log shape with thin walls isn't ideal for strength.

Cast ramhorn? ;D :1

What I'd really like is a CAD drawing of a complete turbo, not just the flanges. Maybe that'll be my next project. Anybody wanna loan me their snail? :y

Re: Virtual Log

That would be sweet. You might be able to find some parts of the assembly online and make the rest.
