Vinnyp's ongoing project.

Hello everyone ive just joined your forum because i own a 1995 civic esi (im english) d16z6 vtec, and i was looking on ebay for a complete turbo kit. As it will probably cost me around £650 GBP, i started doing some research into cheaper alternatives and stumbled across this site and decided to join because it has all the information i need in one place which is excellent!
Im not going to post any stupid questions like what turbo should i get blah blah blah, im just going to post some pictures of what ive got as i get it and fit etc.
Heres some pics of my car, if they dont work ill post some links.......

1) Make an intro aka n00b post. It should consist of:

- Basic info about yourself. If this info exceeds 20 words, start over. You are not that interesting. If you disagree you'd best have tits, -----, and a webcam to convince us.

- Pictures of your car. Include a little information about your ride. Do not tell us about stereos, tuenar rimz, aftermarket plug wires or MSD ignition systems that don't do anything, bodykits, or how you painted the car a neon color so you could get assrammed by gay men. Under no circumstances use the term "JDM." None of these things matter, to us or anyone who has a fast car.

- Post porn. Porn should comprise at least 50% of your n00b post. If you think you have failled in any of the above criteria, or you understand exactly how worthless you are to the average HMTer, then you can save your skin by posting more porn.

- Fresh porn content is a must. We have all seen Raven Reilly. Porn you have made yourself is guaranteed to be fresh. Drag home strange girls every week and make them get freaky for the camera. Getting random women to pose naked or in underwear with "HMT" written on them in Magic Marker is a sure fire way to let people know you're serious about turbochargers. Is your mom a MILF, or your sister hot?

- In fact, don't ever stop posting porn. Start a "{your name here}'s Porn Thread" thread in the Porn/Fab forum and update it every so often.

2) Use the search function before you ask any questions. Caveats and rules of thumb for making threads:

- If you've searched, and have the slightest suspicion that your question is less than worthy, posting porn along with the question can save you.

- Make sure you title the post "NSFW" when you post porn. Pissing off an admin who's surfing HMT at work is a good way to undo any good will you've done by posting the porn.

3) Some people are going to be rude to you for your first year, and/or first few hundred posts. This is normal. Advice on how to deal with this:

- Do not lose your temper; while it is acceptable to be rude back, no one wants to listen to emo whiny-whiny bullshit.

- You are encouraged to not be rude back unless you can do a very good job with it.

- We like to see major ownage; e-stalking of myspace or photobucket accounts leaning to derogatory photoshopping/mspainting of HMTers or their loved ones, and for god's sake keep it fresh - no one wants to hear a plain jane "---- you!," you are performing for an audience so you better have some damn good lines.

4) After your first year and/or first few hundred posts, you find that a large number of people are still rude to you. You find that this does not bother you in the slightest, and in fact you like it a lot.

Welcome home, brother!

Re: HELLO NEW MEMBER HERE!

Thanks everyone for the replies. I just thought i should tell you all a little bit about myself, firstly my name is vinny and i live in england, this is my second civic the first being a lsi (d15) which i planned on turbo'ing but sadly crashed it before i had chance. Im 21 years old and i have had my current car for around a year and now i think its time to build up my own turbo kit, im currently looking for a mazda626 in a scrap yard for the turbo, and i am also looking for a ford mondeo diesel intercooler (fm). As for the downpipe and manifold im going to fabricate as much as i can, and for the charge pipes im going to cross that bridge when i come to it. I am planning on using 450cc injectors, but i need to do a little bit more research first before i start buying things and potentially wasting money.
Should be pretty beasty when its finished ill keep you all updated.

Nobody cares about those things. We'll like you better if you start selling UK spec parts on here for Nig Nog prices, even though our dollar sucks right now in comparison.

Or you could just contribute to the Porn section, which ever you choose. Er, Adult Material section.

Which is exactly why you should go rape your junkyard and start selling ---- on here.

You can get them for what £20 from a Junkyard? Sell em for $80US. You'll make money off the top and you can start a new trend. EDM will become the new JDM, and faggot eurostyle will die forever.

IM a little confused here, are people just taking the piss or would they actually be willing to pay for uk parts, if so what parts would you americans be after because i live literally a five minute drive from a jap only scrapyard thats filled with civics,mr2's,scoobys,evo's etc and if theres money to be made ill have a bash at it, it can even pay for my HMT kit.
Shipping would be quite expensive i imagine.

spend like 10 minutes on Google and see that the main differences are between US and UK stuff like bumpers, spoilers on Honda's or rims on Subaru's or whatever. then grab that and sell it here. :6

Look into shipping in crates, if you got enough orders I imagine you could clear a whole front clip fairly easily. You guys got cars over there that we didn't either, I honestly wouldn't mind a Pulsar GTiR.

Just not right now, who knows man you could get a viable business going here. I bet that people would seriously buy interior/exterior/engines. I can't really think of any good engines over there, except for the Legacy RS 2.6L Flat four.

For a super good price, I'll tell people you're my homie, and it'll be like having the mafia on speed dial. Nobody will say ---- to you, and you can finger ---- whoever you want.

Why didn't you leave the hatch alone? It looks like ---- now after you patched over it.

I always wondered how the silver which was the color of my 98 coupe would look on a 92-95 hatch/coupe. I like the color a lot on it.

Ive heard people say stuff like that already, the reason why the front bumper looks photoshopped is because when i bought the car it had a vti front lip smoothed into the bumper which i accidentely smashed off so its left it looking like that. The back is what the previous owner did and i dont like it either but it will be getting changed shortley anyway.

Re: HELLO NEW MEMBER HERE!

Hello again people, im just posting a quick question on a problem i have (i have been searching for the past 3 hours) i bought a turbo today basically because it was absolutely stupidly cheap and is in full working condition.

All i know is its a tdo25m, its got an internal wastegate, and its pretty small so it should spool quickly,

Has anyone seen or heard of these turbos before and have any idea of what the wastegate is set to, and before anyone types just search i already have and cant find any info.

I dont have any pics yet as im waiting for it to be delivered as soon as it gets here ill post some up if it helps.

It's a Garrett, it's fairly small. Not much on the internet about it, I was looking for a compressor map for you.

If it's anything like the mitsu/Garrett t25 the compressor map looks something like this:
