Apparently I know a guy who slings quite a bit of weed, or used to until today. Lots of the local guys with fast cars tend to have some sort of entreprenuerial activity going on; I operate on a don't ask don't tell level with them if they are cool. This guy didn't know much about cars except that he likes them, and was very chill to associate with.

So, this guy buys some 400 whp CRX down in FL a couple days ago. He's been aware for a week now that he's being followed by... well, who else is going to follow him but undercover cops? He goes out to run a few errands. Picks up "30" (I haven't bothered to ask what units of measurement and notices he's being followed by an unmarked. So, he's in a 400 whp CRX - he floors it. problem solved, or so you'd think.

He does not toss everything out the window.

He goes over to the house of some guy he was warned away from, and drops off "10"

The police are trying to pull him over as he leaves, blue lights flashing in the undercover vehicles (a Durango, and some SUV). 400 whp CRX - he floors it - wait, the undercovers have caught onto the game and there are Troopers everywhere. High speed chase on the interstate with a road block on the receiving end. Resisting arrest. The expected beat down - we haven't heard about that, but it's assured given the local police even if he wasn't stupid enough to resist. Hell, given the local police, he might not have resisted, but after the chase no one's gonna believe him.

Bail is at 110K now, felony count is around 8 or so but most of those are just to inflate bail and will be dropped. The guy who he dropped the "10" off with isn't being charged... and was recommending the guy I know talk to a "legal advocate" who was giving wack *** advice designed to break him so he can't mount a legal defense.

CRX is impounded, I never even got to clean up it's tune. Trying to get in touch with an old buddy who is now an undercover to find out where the car is stored so I can try to disable it before it goes to Raleigh + then auction - I'll buy it at auction at a reduced price if I at all possibly can.

I'm putting together a car right now for a kid who paid for it with questionable means. So far he paid me $650 to put a B16A in his CRX. He now wants to turbo it so I'm getting $800 just to install it.

He was warned away from the people who got him in trouble, he was warned when he first mentioned that he thought he was being followed. He's an awful nice guy, but it all went to his head. From what I am being told he was slinging 1/4 bags when I first met him, and he sort of went up the food chain a LOT.

Hell, we've been to cookouts together a couple times, and his son has played with my daughter. It's kind of fucked up and sad, really. His lawyer is saying he'll probably do two years... given what some friends have gotten (less for more) and his lack of previous convictions, it's probably because he's "less than white," to steal a fig from hotrex.

I read that whole thread and can't figure out how pot sucks? It's not like he was high and hit a school bus full of chlidren, he ran from the cops, which was a dumbass mistake he made on his own without the help of weed.

If you ask me what sux is the idiot who thought he could out-run the po-po with his fast and the furious C-rex.
