Verdict just in: pot sucks.
 

Apparently I know a guy who slings quite a bit of weed, or used to until today. Lots of the local guys with fast cars tend to have some sort of entreprenuerial activity going on; I operate on a don't ask don't tell level with them if they are cool. This guy didn't know much about cars except that he likes them, and was very chill to associate with.

So, this guy buys some 400 whp CRX down in FL a couple days ago. He's been aware for a week now that he's being followed by... well, who else is going to follow him but undercover cops? He goes out to run a few errands. Picks up "30" (I haven't bothered to ask what units of measurement and notices he's being followed by an unmarked. So, he's in a 400 whp CRX - he floors it. problem solved, or so you'd think.

He does not toss everything out the window.

He goes over to the house of some guy he was warned away from, and drops off "10"

The police are trying to pull him over as he leaves, blue lights flashing in the undercover vehicles (a Durango, and some SUV). 400 whp CRX - he floors it - wait, the undercovers have caught onto the game and there are Troopers everywhere. High speed chase on the interstate with a road block on the receiving end. Resisting arrest. The expected beat down - we haven't heard about that, but it's assured given the local police even if he wasn't stupid enough to resist. Hell, given the local police, he might not have resisted, but after the chase no one's gonna believe him.

Bail is at 110K now, felony count is around 8 or so but most of those are just to inflate bail and will be dropped. The guy who he dropped the "10" off with isn't being charged... and was recommending the guy I know talk to a "legal advocate" who was giving wack ass advice designed to break him so he can't mount a legal defense.

CRX is impounded, I never even got to clean up it's tune. Trying to get in touch with an old buddy who is now an undercover to find out where the car is stored so I can try to disable it before it goes to Raleigh + then auction - I'll buy it at auction at a reduced price if I at all possibly can.

I'm putting together a car right now for a kid who paid for it with questionable means. So far he paid me $650 to put a B16A in his CRX. He now wants to turbo it so I'm getting $800 just to install it. :y

He was warned away from the people who got him in trouble, he was warned when he first mentioned that he thought he was being followed. He's an awful nice guy, but it all went to his head. From what I am being told he was slinging 1/4 bags when I first met him, and he sort of went up the food chain a LOT.

Hell, we've been to cookouts together a couple times, and his son has played with my daughter. It's kind of fucked up and sad, really. His lawyer is saying he'll probably do two years... given what some friends have gotten (less for more) and his lack of previous convictions, it's probably because he's "less than white," to steal a fig from hotrex.

I read that whole thread and can't figure out how pot sucks? It's not like he was high and hit a school bus full of chlidren, he ran from the cops, which was a dumbass mistake he made on his own without the help of weed.

If you ask me what sux is the idiot who thought he could out-run the po-po with his fast and the furious C-rex.

hey dumbfuck he was selling a illigal drug to people thats against the law. i run from the cops i get one night in jail. he sells drugs hes going to get let off at 2 years in jail. im not sure why you dont feel that pot is illigal...it minipulates your mine and thats the reason its illigal.

wrong. as soon as pot is commercially taxable, it will be legal. sure it messes with your mind, but so is alcohol. the thing that makes it illegal is that the federal government cant collect taxes on the transactions. the hate not getting their cut. example: not paying taxes = automatic 3 year sentance.

There is ALOT more to it than that... Big business interests (textile, paper, among a plethora of others), special interest groups,etc.... it snot sipmply a tax issue. hemp being legalized (and utilized) stands to cost businesses alot of money that are operating in the niches it would affect.

Plus its a ------- Drug (yes, so is alcohol), personaly id much rather have pot legal, but since I dont do ANY anymore... I dont really care. HOWEVER, the utilization of hemp in our society would be a much more ecologically friendly soluyion to a number of problems (environmental issues) than what we have now though...

if you dont remember they tried to ban alcohol from the us but failed. you can always say gov. pissed because they cant tax crap. sure if people are going to be spending money on crap that they claim to be illigal and people still buy it and you cant tax them wouldnt u be pissed? all i was saying was selling drugs is illigal and running from the cops is illigal. but your going to get in more trouble for selling drugs. also your a hippie for saying pots going to be commercialy legal. maybe in a state or two but not all 50. also all that really matters is if he gets that crx or not

but yea detroit is fucked up 18 people dead from drugs laced with some other drug thats supposidly a lethal combo.

they dont find the people untill they rot and the neighbors can smell it. so they expect alot more dead people to turn up cops are all over teh ------- place and detroit was declared ground zero of 4 states that have been hit by the lethal combo of drugs :P

i dont know if it was pot. or what it was. but yea :P

pretty sure it was a certain strain of potent heroin. when the hardcore drug users hear about something real strong and ----, their burnt out heads make them wanna show off to their group of friends about how much they can snort/shoot-- and therein lies the problem.
