Legally, if your name is still on the title, it your car. Thats stupid to do that ----, if he was involved in a hit and run or anything else like that, its your ass...get that ---- taken care of

so let me get this straight, he bought the car, has no proof that he bought it, and it's still in your name? explain to the cops what happened and that you're not liable for any damaged that was caused by the car, but agree to remove the car, then sell it again, or part it out and make even more money off of it.....

I don't see how they can prove ---- because if I had the title notarized and handed it over to him, it's out of my hands and if he doesn't transfer the ownership I have no way of knowing or proving anything. That's gay. I'm not about to pay any fines. He made money off it selling parts to his ricer friends so he can pay the -------. From what he told me, the car was towed to a junkyard and is long gone.

Oh well, I guess I'm just going to tell the cops who I sold it to and see what happens. :-\

So wait, you HAD THE TITLE NOTARIZED AND HANDED OVER TO HIM? Are you saying that you had an offical document stating that YOU sold the vehicle to HIM? Cause if you have that, along with the date, you should be fine. If and ONLY if you have this document dated stating that you sold the car to him, show the Cops or whoever the document and tell them that you sent in the 'Release of liability form' but knowing the post office it got lost.

you should have brought it to your house, put it in the front yard, filled it with potting soil and grew a garden in it.

The car was fucked. I stripped the ---- out of it and sold it to him for $20 just to get it the hell out of my garage. It's not even close to being "salvagable" as it sits. I doubt it's anything more than the BARE shell, no suspension, tires, seats, ANYTHING. It's done.

I didn't have the title so I didn't notarize it and all that ----, but even if I did, how the ---- would I prove it? I wouldn't have a damn bit fo proof......and neither would they.

If that cock sucker cop comes back tonight at a reasonable hour I'll let him know whos door to go knocking on. If that doesn't work I'll just have him arrest me for assault ahead of time and get it over with because I'm not going to be a happy camper if I get fucked over this. :-\

if oral contracts ( :D) hold up in your state, you are fine. people dont always register cars right off the bat, i didnt transfer ownership on my eg for like 6 months. it just sat in my garage. if you can prove you sold it to him thru witnesses or paperwork, you are set.
