I just won an auction for a brand new drag kit for an integra on Ebay because it was a great deal. However the seller does not take paypal. I don't trust sending a large amount of $ by money order of course.

I was wondering if there is any kind of service out there that would guarantee that i get my stuff from him.

not to be a dick, but i wouldnt have bid on that thing. He doesnt have any feedback from selling ANYTHING. Thats not bad, mabe its his first ad.

He won an auction for info on how to build a turbo kit, then he has one to sell? thats sketchball in itself. Also, i saw another ad just like that, same pictures, same list, and it was bogus.

I feel like your gonna get rippppppped, but ask why he doesnt take paypal. only thing i can think of would be an escrow sort of thing.

Second, if you're not comfortable paying with anything other than Paypal, you shouldn't have bid on the tiem knowing he doesn't accept Paypal. What were you thinking? :-\

You can still send him a personal check. Then you have proof that you made a payment and he is more liable. Good luck........dumbass

Thats actually a pretty decent deal for a drag kit..

however the description is horrible, doesnt really say anything. Is it new used? how many miles on it? etc etc. Btw that seller has recently changed his ID within the past 30 days. Thats a bit sketchy.

Where does this dude live? maybe you could get lucky and get a HMT member to check him out and hand deliver the payment (for a small fee of course)

who gives a fawk whether a turbo kit is homemade or not... whether you buy it or not you still get to turbo your car...

and i agree with everybody.. only sketchy ----------ers or people without a bank account don't use paypal.. use your best judgement and don't ask other peoples opinions if you don't want to hear them.

I personally have not used it, but I have heard nothing but good about it. They are verified and have tons of testimonial to check through, if you got ripped off it would definately not be by them.

I'm buying this for a friend of mine and he's paying me for it.

And for the wondering, it slipped my mind and i forgot to check if he takes paypal or not.

I guess i'll do some reading on the escrow service.

It doesn't, and nobody said it does. ::) It was the safest method of payment the seller listed. He has to show ID to cash your check and there would be bank records and a signature showing that he cashed the check.

that isnt a bad deal, if you receive the kit. $1,100 for a new turbo, IC, manifold, WG, etc etc. If you send him a check, you have a 100% full traceable transaction. you could also mail that check certified, so he has to sign for it. That is how I would do it.

also, make sure you have full 100% ID on this fucker. im assuming that he has a "distributer" who he buys the ---- from, bacially, he has access to buy these kits at a certain price, so when he gets your money, he buys a kit and they ship it from there warehouse. :-\ there are all kinds of places like ekeystone.com who he could do this through. i would put money on it, when you get the product, it will not be shipped from his door. :-\
