I will give one word of advice though. Being close with the family is great but permits one problem. The closer you are to the family the harder it is to break it off with the girl later down the road. Yuu feel like your dumping their family instead of just the daughter even though you have no hard feelings towards them.
I had that situation and the family still wants me around but I cant stand the daughter, they are still pissed at her for cheating on me. Anyways its just a hard situation to be in sometimes.
Congrats though, it will certainly make it easier while your dating.

There still needs to be respect from the guy to the parents, but no way are my parents old fashioned like this girl's are. Half the time they don't even know if I'm with someone or not. *shrug*
