Man,Im tired as hell!Having never been in the restaurant buisness before I didnt know what to expect.We couldnt formally advertise since were short on cash since some ----------ers jacked our ----( >:().We've been doing really well though with just "word of mouth" from people that have come to eat at our place.We've allready doubled our orders(we had almost 100 orders yesterday)from Saterday when we opend.Thats cool couse in just 4 days weve allready made what I used to make in a month as a Union Electrician ;)

The people are loving our food!I love looking out the pick up window and seeing people take a bite out of our Mesquite grilled Rib Eye tacos on fresh made corn tortillas.People are allways requesting to talk to the cheff(me ;)) to tell me how good the food is.We're getting a lot of praise and we hear alot of "the food is awsome!Now we dont have to drive to South Dallas(1 hour south of us) to go get real Mexican food".It feels good to have people enjoy what we've worked so hard to build.

We dont have a computer setup yet so I cant be on HMT on my slow time. :'(.

Thanks again to all you guys for the suport on the former restaurant post that I had made.The journey here was long and I was allready getting fed up with this venture.It really helps to hear positive advice when your kind of fed up with ----.But now the only thing we have to worry about is how many more people we need to hire ;).

Yea, definately going to have to have an hmt meet there. Congrats raffi, way to handle it man. Word of mouth is a great thing, especially in the food industry. Ill definately be sure to stop in if im ever in town man.

hell yea good job i'm glad to hear as well. i've been a cook my whole life and worked at a ton of ---- holes and some good, but i'm glad to hear that your making it

Aww :'( thanks guys!Just got home.Im as tired as a black mans excuse(its just a ------- joke) :P.

The days just keep getting better and better.My brother challenged every one that came in today when they orderd that if they didnt like their food they didnt have to pay and they could order any other item on the menu and it would be on the house.........well no one ate for free 8)

Ill take some on tuesday(my day off) and ill post up some picts of our deliciouse food ;)

Damn this thread is making me hungry. But congratulations on your success. Just remember that the customers/popularity come and go. The success of my business rides on the detail of tracking my cash flow. You always have to pay attention to that ---- so when the $ comes in, you are prepared for the bills that hit during the slow periods. Keep yourself in check when the times are good, and you'll survive the slumps that are natural. Just don't get discouraged when things look bleak, and good times will follow.

I find it hard to beleive you have the best flour tortillas. After eating taco cabana tortillas for the last 10 years, you better have some crack or something in em : p. How far away from dallas are you, might have to come harrass and hagle you for a good while. While i'm at it who else lives in texas, i'm from houston here.

That is awsome that it has been poppn' off so well. No advertising, and you are already doing well, that is great. A lot of places have trouble the first while, but if you are kickn' ass now, that is perfect.

Thats a good thought, but not actually how the food industry works, 80% of new restaraunts fail in the first two years! However, It is definatly awsome that your business is doing so well mang keep it up. I personally couldn't imagine doing any other profession than chefing it up. Well pro racer would be cool, but I don't have the mad racing skills, or the funding to do so...

That is verry true.
But the reason most fail is because they pick a location that is over saturated with the food they are offering,their service sucks or thgeir food sucks.Were the only restaurant surounded by 10000 homes with the nearest restaurant being 2.5 miles north or south of us ;).Location is key!

A professional chef(a guy who actually attended a culanary school and has a degree)come in today.He workes at some fancy shmancy overpriced restaurant in Dallas(he gave me his card but I tossed it).He shook my hand and told me that we had the best Mexican food he had ever tasted.That meant the world to me....so I think well be in buisness for a while O0 ..... ;)
