I agree spinning street tires isnt much resistance.. Hell I do it in second too and dont have any problems and I have maybe 1/3 the power you do. When we go 4 wheeling some people are locked in the front with small axles and they do alright when spinning but sometimes if they get just enough traction the axles will pop (even with wheels pointed straight) Makes no sense to me really and none of it is consistent. There must be a lot of whack *** factors involved

I think your dumb for trying to use an h series tranny still.... you can treat the gears all you want, thats not going to stop case flex which is killing your gears.

Maybe try bracing and reinforcing the case like some of the higher hp 3000gt/stealth guys are doing. Actually welding in plates of aluminum to the case

Working on it Nig nog - glad to hear you got her running and shes a mean bitch!!!!! Ive Got some ideas... There will be no welding of the case as in that pic though... It'll warp and ---- ---- up....

Ross and I are tossing ideas around... I REALLY DONT want to go B series, but a crv tranny is a possibility (cable shifted like the prelude-accord ----)... Id really rather have an H series in there just for ease... I think Josh and I are gonna mock up a b series tranny in there just to see how ---- lines up for ***** and giggles though.... As there is lots more support for those gearboxes....

If it stays H....I'm Looking at getting a gearset, shafts and final drive treated by racerstev, and putting an LSD in it... see if that helps out. The car is done for the winter anyways. Started to pull it apart today...Some front brake/suspension upgrades, paint/cosmetic and a cage... (I got a couple other twaeks in mind as well)... Its getting cold and shitty up here, so ive got a couple months at least to slowly pick off things I want to get done. Id say the power goals have been met, and that Im happy. I consider it a sucess thus far, and the tranny is merely one more hurdle I need to jump. Ive got time....
