Default Ugg money problems, how should I finish up my build?

Argg well I'm elbow deep in the sloppy vagina that is building turbocharged engine with turbo kit. I'm 18 years old, I go to high school 5 days a week, I worked 30 hours a week, and had no free time. Needless to say I had no life, except for will to work on my car. It finally hit me when my girlfriend left me a few days ago how much I've completely thrown any fun in my life away. I love cars, but I'm ------- tired as ---- working for my damned cars. I cut my hours back to about 20 a week, but I still want to get this build done. So how could I cheaply finish this build.

Car: 1998 Acura Integra
B18A1 - 190,000mi from an Auto Integra
Wiseco 8.5:1 CR 81mm bore thermal coated pistons
Eagle H-beam Connecting Rods
ARP Headstuds
Devcon Liquid Aluminum
Like-New Oil Pump
LS head & Intake Manifold from my current B18B1

T3/T04b rebuildt from Westcoast-turbo
2.5in charge piping
BMC Log Manifold(needs to be externally gated)
38mm Tial WG
Greddy RS BOV
6' JRC Intercooler
Walbro 255 HP Fuel Pump
DSM 450cc Injectors
Stealthmode Oil feed/return lines

Anyway I might be leaving out a few things, but what I think I need to finish this ---- up is...

New OEM berings - ??
New OEM waterpump - $50
New gaskets - ??
Dumptube - ??
Downpipe w/ o2 bung ??
Chipped ECU - $150-175
Basemap - ??
Crome - Free
3Bar Map Sensor - ??
New Oil and Filters - ??
Intake Filter - ??
Couplers and Clamps - ??
Wideband - $250-300
Fuel Pressure Regulator - $150-200?

<_< I hope to have it done sometime by summer, which will be late May.

My plans were to get the head milled a bit, tanked, and honed, but I really don't want to pay for all that ----. Is there any way to clean my engine without getting it tanked? If not how should I clean it up?

I plan to run .5 bar normally and 1 bar when racing. Ill probably make my own manual boost controller, or buy a cheap one off of ebay.

Can anybody give me some short-cuts or hints of ---- I don't really need?

builds always have hidden costs and will end up costing you more than what you planned.

Sell the turbo ----, sell the 8.5:1 pistons, buy 11:1 pistons, done.

You said cheap, right?

Really though, I'm in the same boat as you - I've worked 30 hour weeks along with high school and a girlfriend and a bunch of other ----. It's not easy, and it's not worth it to waste some of the best years of your life puttin' around a grocery store fillin yogurt and milk. Thats what I did anyway.

I say you sell some ---- and run a more mild or even an N/A setup...then start putting money in the bank for a rainy day. I've been in / am in your situation and that's about what I'm doing.

Not because of that, but the situation has made me realize I've been essentually throwing away my social life over the past few months.

I'm not selling any of this stuff, I've sacraficed too much and selling it wouldn't get me anywhere. That may be a stubborn ideal, but to tell you the truth I didn't buy all this ---- to get a 60% monitary return on it, I bought it because I had plans for it and I still do. Anyway, any other comments?

All I can say is good luck. How much do you make at your current job?

Also chipped ecu for $150? I hope you're including the cost of the ECU itself.

Yeah, chipped ECUs can be had for cheaper.

Also, you don't need the wideband or the FPR.

It's all little ---- from here on in, you may not need to replace bearings either.

Also, wait on the 3bar sensor, or get a 2.5 Motorola from Digikey for 20 bucks.

You've made it this far, and that's a solid build right there, don't throw it all away when you're 200 bucks away from being done. How many 18 year olds can say they built their own turbo Honda?

There will be time in the future for hoes and social stuff.Build the ride while your young and can truly enjoy it.I have given up my entire social life, healthy diet etc all to build my CRX but it is worth it.And remember its only money and you cant take it with you when you die so start spending.

Heh, not my mentality as far as disposing of my social life for a material value, such as my car. Yes I love it, but I really would be happier knowing I've done other things than being a slave to my hobbies. I'd personally rather have new experiences to forfill my life. I dont think crippling my social life now for car parts isn't exactly helping this.

I'm 18 years old, I've worked for about 3 years straight. Sine I was 15 I've held a job, for my first car up until this point. Most of my friends are through work and I'm sick and ------- tired of working. Thank God I'm off to college next year and I wont have to deal with this ----(working) for some while.

Anywho I'll see what I can't salvage off my current motor.
