Actually.. they were a Tiberon that was in this same style..
Engine in the back, powering the rear wheels, engine in the front, powered the front. Two trannys tow everything..
Still didn't go fast. :-/ But made one hell of a burn out with side in reverse, and the other in forward.
I would think there would have to be maticulous calculations to make sure one side wasing spinning faster than the other, basically, because you'd be dragging/pushing that half. Hrm, plus you'd have to think of the added weight, will the gains be great enought to conpensate? Hrm..

hehehehe im dreaming here ok as for the tiberon i saw that thing as well ,did some wicked burnouts. If i wanted some real power i would drop a twin supercharged longitudinal 400ci chevy small block. I love to see twin supers poking through the rear trunk with a faat 4 inch belt.

I think they were both automatics so it doesn't matter if they produce exactly the same power, they all go throught sprag clutches so that they will always put as much power as an auto allows to the ground at all times. The shifting would need to be synchronized somehow... maybe manual valve body in the trans's?
