Thanks all for all your help :)

Re:twin turbo v-8 chrysler
random-strike, 6psi out of both turbos is still only 6 psi, not 12
|
Re:twin turbo v-8 chrysler
err, that is on a parelle system...
if you're running two turbos one on each manifold. you woudl get the sum of the two pressures... |
Re:twin turbo v-8 chrysler
so what the hell is it???? you two are confusing me. If it has two turbos, @6 psi, is that 6psi at the manifold or 12?
|
Re:twin turbo v-8 chrysler
it will only be six pounds i think, just twice the volume.
|
Re:twin turbo v-8 chrysler
its only 6
|
Re:twin turbo v-8 chrysler
yeah only 6psi but twice as much air...
air is the important part... |
Re:twin turbo v-8 chrysler
so what is the end result? Does the greater airflow make more power, quicker cuz each turbo doesn't have to work as hard then? I've never even considere twin tubos till i saw the pair on the auction the other night, then i realized it was acutually a possibility, and i don't know much bout it, hence all the questions. Josh

Re:twin turbo v-8 chrysler
more air makes more power, you get a quicker spool up time because of the two compressors making 6psi instead of one compressor making 6.
that way if you have a dragster or something you could run 60 pounds of boost on it, but pretty much only have the lag of 30psi because of the two turbos working together to make the pressure... pm jeff about it ROFL... http://www.crpud.net/~jbliss/burns.gif |
